I’ve had Tamale Kitchen tamales a few times now and every time I am blown away at how tasty they are. Moist and flavorful in the best way. I also love that they use local farms and resources as often as they can.

I was introduced to the Tamale Kitchen a few years back while attending the Dia De Los Muertos festival at the Nelson. While we enjoyed our tamale and sides, I read about the Tamale Kitchen and I was smitten-with the grass-roots truly keeping it local group of gals who pored their efforts into the task of tamale making-truly a labor of love and tradition. Which none of this would matter if the tamales weren't great-but they are, the balance of masa to fillings as well as the perfect degree of spice. Support local and let these ladies continue tradition-and do the work for you !
