I got to tour this building as an architecture project and got to see the old architecture incorporated with the renovation that has been ongoing since 2020. The service was very fast and the people were very kind! I tried the fried catfish and spaghetti which oddly was very delicious together!
I have been looking forward to getting back here following the renovation. It's great! Deliciously flavorful lentil-potato soup and tasty salad (loved the small cubes of beets). Friendly cashier and student volunteers at the food counter. Free iced tea! We were there a little after 1, and it wasn't crowded. The setting was bright and clean, and I love being welcomed by the beautiful painting of Thelma at the entrance. The price was so fair compared to what restaurants...
I'm very fortunate that I found this place. It has become a destination place for me. They are so friendly and welcoming.. I love the food. And Ms. Thelma knows my name! Once I get back on my feet, I will definitely pay it forward. Please go support this amazing place and incredible woman. In all she does.
