What can you say about a diner like this one? It's a classic atmosphere with classic food. Old school menu, very few seats for dining in, but man is it good. I got the single cheeseburger just because it's a kind of benchmark for diners, and my husband got the coney with chili which oddly enough came on a hamburger bun. Both were excellent! The onion rings were killer too, although they could've used a little salt. I think some of the few negative reviews probably got takeout and didn't eat it for 30 minutes or something, because everything of ours was fresh and delicious. Now if you're just looking for a quick burger and fries and don't care about atmosphere or quality, just go to any fast food place to get that fix. But if you want a better burger made to the standard of the diners of old, this is a place to visit for sure.

Burgers are small & overpriced but right on time for a late night. Almost $30 for 2 burgers and 1 fry is crazy

What a great LITTLE historical burger joint. We chuckled at the signs in the parking lot that said parking one hour or will be towed. When we walked into restaurant it made perfect sense. Eat fast and move on due to limited seating. But that's okay!! It's all part of the charm. Food was great, and local homemade pies were a delicious ending. Highly recommend.

The only draw back is having to wait to shove these amazing little burgers into your mouth bc there is little seating at the location I went to. The food was so good and the staff were super helpful! I had a double cheese the way the make it and had a coconut cream pie slice and then because the first one was so good another double. My whole family destroyed everything. I really need to come back for breakfast!!

Classic burger spot in KC. Onion rings are the best in the city. Burgers haven't changed over the years

Tiny diner cranking out perfect late-night burgers. Thin patties, crisp edges, melty cheese—no extras needed. Fast, loud, and straight to the point. You eat standing up, wipe your hands, and wonder why all burgers can’t be this honest.

I paid 21 bucks for 2 cheeseburgers singles no fries or anything I've got the receipt. I promise it was not worth it....

Recent transplant to Kansas City. My first visit to town topic. I was not terribly impressed. Though the burgers are well cooked and juicy. It was very bland as were the fries. Both required a generous dose of salt to have any real flavor which I was fortunate to have a packet of in my car. These guys need to learn how to season their food and I suspect most of the Goodwill towards this restaurant is a direct result of their primary audience being drunk Midwesterners seeking grease to prevent hangovers. The chili surprisingly was pretty decent although is served in an unappealing manner with a nice layer of grease floating on top that had to be poured off the cup. It was also pretty expensive. For a double cheeseburger, an order of fries and a cup of chili it was $25. For the money I don’t believe it’s worth it and Whataburger is a far better option.

Over-rated. Expensive for what you get. My single smash burger was like McDonalds. The burger was so small. Onion rings were tasty. Would not return.
