Listen, Im a picky southern dude been forced to travel the southeast....best place around for hours, or states....and always isn't out of everything you ask for like the competition up the road. This afternoon I finally stopped at Pop’s Smoke Shack in Branson West. I don't know why I waited so long!
The burnt end sandwich was the star. Big chunks of meat, nicely blackened and juicy, with deep smoke and balanced seasoning. It ranks with the best I’ve had, even back home in Kansas City.
There were several sauces available, and all were top-notch. I especially enjoyed the mustard sauce and the jalapeno sauce with my burnt ends.
