Every month my husband and I meet two other couples for a weekday breakfast. We like to try a different restaurant each time. This month, we went to The Village Cafe of Lake Saint Louis. The food and service were amazing!! The breakfast menu was very extensive including “make your own omelets and skillets”. We just enjoyed the pork chops and chicken spiedini at their soft opening, now serving dinner! Side salad was great as well. So glad to have another sit-down dinner option in this area! We love your breakfast. Now we'll be visiting for dinner, too! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Terrible service. Sat there for over 20 minutes, and the waitress completely ignored us.
We just walked out. Avoid this place.

Village Cafe Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner is a wonderful gem of a restaurant. The food and service are amazing, with a menu that has something for everyone. Generous portions include favorites like the breakfast tacos, a burger paired with a side salad, Buffalo Chicken Wrap, pancakes, scrambled eggs, and turkey bacon. A Mocha Latte is a delicious hot drink recommendation. Make your own omelets and skillets are available, with one customer calling the make your own steak skillet one of the best ever. The food is consistently great, though one dish, the Heavenly Hash with scrambled eggs, was overcooked with burnt onions and potatoes. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, with excellent service from servers like Mattie. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant, but the ambiance could be improved with louder music and taller partitions between tables. There can be a bit of a wait during busy times, but customers never feel rushed. The restaurant is owned by a local family who genuinely cares about their customers and community. Prices are reasonable. Customers will return and call it a new favorite.
