Ordered food for Mothers day dinner. Worst experience from a restaurant ever. Food was waaaay overcooked. I definitely DO NOT recommend this joke of an establishment. Sat at curbside for over an hour after my specified time. They messed up and my food had sat in a warming box for an hour. It was cold and hard as a rock. They were rude to me in return. Never prayed a place doesn't make it, but F this place.

Stroud's has a special place in my heart and the heart of KC. I remember going to the OG original location with my family many times as a kid. The cinnamon rolls are classic and if you are a lover of fried chicken then Stroud's famous pan fried chicken is for you! The reasons I gave Stroud's "express" 4 stars is it doesn't have that true dine in experience you would normally get at any of their sit down restaurants. The express locations also have a slimmed down menu in an attempt to increase their speed. Unfortunately, I've never had an "express" experience here. I've arrived at my pickup time and have waited an additional 15-20mins! I also tried to place a pick up order online on a Friday night and it said 2 hour wait! There is nothing express about Stroud's express but in the name. So great food but plan ahead and order early.

The only word I have is disgusting. I called in today 4/24/21 ticket 1582. I never remember Stroud serving food like this. 1. I call in order get a time for pick up. 2. Arrive at my schedule pick up time and stand at counter no one even notice me. 3. One girl looks like she filling orders other girl stand playing with cook. Get home and my order was to the point I couldn't even eat it was that bad. I thought maybe I got the trash

My wife and I have lived in the KC metro area for over 20 years. We hadn’t ever tried Stroud’s as it was out of our way and just didn’t think about it when we were going out to eat. I noticed they recently opened a new store in Lees Summit so we decided to give it a try. I had been CRAVING gizzards so of course I order them as well as a chicken dinner. It took quite a long time for our food to be ready to go but I waited in their lobby until it was done. I got all the way home and realized that they forgot to include the gizzards. I called the store back and spoke to the manager. He apologized and said that I could either drive back into town to get them or he would send me a gift card to make up for their error. I said to just send the gift card to me and I gave him our home address. That was 3 months ago and still no gift card. Bad service TWICE in our first experience, we won’t be going back. I guess we will just find gizzards somewhere else & hope I actually get what I ordered and paid for!!!!

I hardly ever write reviews but this was That bad. They have only managed to get 1 out of my 4 orders correct of the four times we have picked up I have been short a substantial amount of food each time. The last order tonight I even asked them to triple check the order because the order was wrong last time and again short a major amount of food. Seems as if KC Hops has mismanaged this KC favorite. Sadly, won’t be returning.

The staff is fabulous and very professional. However, the food is very lightly seasoned and may have to be doctored at home. This establishment does give you a nice amount of food for your money, but I will not return.

Not what i expected. I haven't been to a Stroud's for years. Gizzards and Livers. A lot of crumbs of breading. Almost a third of the container. Not happy. Thought I'd give it a try. Go Chicken Go is way better

Chicken was so dry -almost inedible, the potatoes flavorless, gravy was average and gizzards as rubbery as tires. There was not one thing good about our meal. Will never order again.

I so want to like this place, just as I wanted to like the restaurant when it was in Independence. I ordered 4 piece dark meat and it was so so dry. WHY? Is there a secret to ordering or maybe I should go with the Chicken Fried Chicken? The cottage fries were good. The rolls were decent but kinda feel like they have lost something too from when I was a kid. But maybe that's the problem when I was a kid and we went to the place under the bridge I would steal as many of the family's cinnamon rolls as I could get. I will give them one more try but just as the restaurant that was closed in Independence the chicken is just dry dry dry.
