Great old school bar. Classic wooden bar, draft beer, pool tables, lots of bar stools. Parking available. Biker friendly. Minuses smoking allowed. Plusses smoker friendly. Just depends on your point of view .... Lol
I had never stopped in Macon, been thru many times. Then I got involved working on the courthouse renovation. I needed to get wet after a hard day and went to the wooden nickel. I met Kayla, superb bartender! Then I took off earlier the next afternoon and Mandy made my drink, ah, refreshing! And so was the drink. Mandy is a breath of fresh air, cute as a button and as nice as the day is long. I came back enough times that she now calls me a friend. Macon, my home away from home....read full review

Great old school bar. Ive been goin here for almost 20 years. And of all the bars its my favorite. Always has great bartenders, excellent pool tables and most importantly cold beer. Owner Lyle McGowan has even ordered alcohol that he dont normally carry to satisfy customers. Thanks Lyle
