“Visited just following lunch at around 1:30 ish PM. Very few people dining in (two). I ordered an edamame appetizer and the menu item SASHIMI WITH A KICK (special “kick” spicy sauce). All items suited me. My only drawback to the experience was that the sashimi (two pieces) were really well refrigerated and affected my sensitive teeth. I will eat here again because I do follow MUNSOK SO.“

“this is definitely the best place in stl for ramen. it isn't saying much considering all the competition out here but this definitely a very good ramen spot. All the flavors and the ingredients taste very fresh and premium considering the cheap price. The boba here is also to die for and is some of the best boba tea i've ever had. definitely check this place out! 10/10 spot!!“

“My girlfriend and I were really craving sushi, but our usual place was closed on Mondays. We thought about Top Sushi since we passed by it all the time and never went and said, "Let's try it out."We were stunned by how delicious it was! We got 3 rolls and some spring rolls. Highly recommend the Crab Rangoon Roll! The gentleman who greeted us was very welcoming and couldn't have been nicer. The inside was very quaint and cozy. Simple seating and some music to enjoy while you eat.We will absolutely visit here again!“

“Every time I come the food is great. The price point is amazing for the food you get. Sushi rolls are always excellent and I order the same thing everytime but I always get a different hot food option whether it’s egg rolls, crab Rangoon, etc. and it’s always good! Hate the parking on Delmar and wish they had more locations but it’s worth it.“

“Small but deliciously mighty sushi restaurant in a strip mall. Many of the typical rolls, but well prepared and yummy. Not a raw sushi fan myself, but noted a happily sated face on others ordering the raw. Service is attentive and polite with lively banter between servers and kitchen. Extensive menu. Enjoyable dining experience.“

“Had the 4 course omakase dinner here, and it was amazing. The interior decor is beautiful, elegant, simple. The setting is intimate, and definitely gives and elevated vibe. The service is impeccable. Each course they brought was a hit. The fish was very fresh and skillfully prepared. I appreciated that all of the fish had minimal sauces or seasonings, thus letting its natural flavor shine. Definitely a great place for a special occasion!“

“We really do love "I Love Mr. Sushi" and find ourselves returning time and time again for high quality, fresh, and delicious food at a reasonable price. The Crab Rangoon Roll is a true winner, especially for skeptical sushi-goers who fear raw fish. Kind and attentive staff with quick service put the cherry on top of this Olivette gem. 5 stars.Edit: The Hot Mama Roll is DELISH!“

“Appreciate the proximity of the restaurant to where we reside. Makes for the place we can bring our guests for dinner especially when the request is sushi and other Japanese food options. Amazing service and ambience. Most recently I ordered the salmon teriyaki dinner, hot green tea to drink, and our table ordered several sushi rolls.“

“Great sushi spot for the value-minded patron. In my opinion there isn't a better sushi value in the Saint Louis area than Sushi Ai and the Saint Charles location is my favorite. Three value is decent for dinner, but it is excellent for lunch.“

“Came on a Sunday afternoon. Felt guilty bringing a chef out to hibachi when we were the only 2 in hibachi area, but they were very accommodating. The chef, Ajar, was very upbeat and entertaining - that's what hibachi is about. Each hibachi meal comes with a bonus of 2 shrimp - nice touch. They also gave us noodles in addition to fried rice. Huge portions, we split a meal and could not finish it. Waitress was on lunch break but still insisted on helping us. Great service!“

“If you’re looking for a lot of grocery store quality sushi for a good price and great vibe this is your spot. The fish wasn’t the best , the rice fell apart, but the drinks were strong and the portions were great for the price.Service was exceptional and they all look like they’re having fun and treated well! Check this spot out and come hungry!“

“Great tasting and great price. My buddy ate 5 rolls on the "All you can eat menu". Not sure how he did it, but he did. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that they used way too much cream cheese in their rolls. Over powers the fish and other ingredients. I will be back for sure.“

“We love supporting small local business. I realized I haven't written about Ichiban- my favorite sushi restaurant in St. Louis. We have been customers here for about 5 years or so. We came here at least once a week. We usually ordered to go during the weekdays and dined in on the weekends. The owners treat and talk to us like family. Our go to orders are hamachi sashimi, spicy crazy roll, hamachi Kama (yellowtail collar), spider rolls and eel avocado rolls. Last night, I was in a mood for grilled fish so I ordered saba shioyaki combo. It came with ginger house salad, and miso soup. I absolutely loved the ginger dressing here - the owner made it herself. The restaurant is quite spacious, and clean. Highly recommend.“

“I live laugh love Ocha. Anytime I am able to suggest where to go eat, I always say Ocha. The family that owns the establishment is extremely lovely. I have never felt sick after eating here, and it's been many years! The atmosphere is nice, it's nothing flashy but it feels very homey. The place is always very tidy. The service (in my experience) has always been great and the food always comes quickly. The prices are also affordable. If your in Saint Louis definitely come here!!“

“Foodie Friyay!Newish spot on the Delmar Loop, G-San Kitchen, is serving up Japanese dishes. Chef-owner Gavin Gao, who likes the casual vibe of izakayas, aims to bring a unique pub experience to University City. Gao owns bubble tea eateries currently but wanted to open a spot offering whiskey, sake, wine, and Japanese beer.G-San offers katsu, skewered meats, ramen and other various veggies, appetizers, rice plates. We started with edamame, shrimp dumplings and spring rolls. I had the shrimp rice plate and shrimp skewers. My shrimp were plump and huge. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu because you know foodies, we have a lot of questions. Ha!“

“Went here for the first time recently to celebrate for a birthday. We did not have to wait long to be seated, but there was definitely a lot of people waiting by the time we were finished. We did make a reservation, but wouldn't have needed it our 530 time. Naturally the group all ordered hibachi. They did have some different options that I have not seen at similar restaurants. The food was nothing special above other local hibachi. Our chef packed the typical flair that we are used to seeing and he spoke softly for the loud environment making it difficult to understand what he was asking. While the lack of engaging antics was different it worked out for our party since we have some there that preferred it that way so it wasn't a problem. I can't say I won't return, but I don't see a need with other restaurants closer to home that offer similar or better food.“

“I can only speak on my takeout experiences, but each time we order to-go everything is fresh, the rolls and fish are separated well, and it's all tasty. We try to order fish that isn't fried but the lobster roll is one we get every dang time... worth it!“

“Local spot for just Asian food. Sounds generic to call it generic, but this place has the biggest menu I have ever seen at an Asian restaurant. There is so many Sushi options - rolls, sashimi, a decent Thai menu, Chinese cuisine options, traditional Japanese cuisine items and more! And, if that isn't enough, there were three boards on the wall with another ~20 options AND a flip board on the table with at least that many more! Honestly, it was bit overwhelming, but not in a bad way. Service was very efficient and almost overly attentive. Super quick service and food delivery. I went with the all-you-can-eat lunch for $15 - miso soup (3.75/5): pretty decent. Traditional. - Thai spring rolls (3.75/5): serving of 3. Seemed freshly made vs frozen. Lots of cabbage. Decent. - tempura shrimp roll: (4.25/5) really good. I would order this again. - yellowtail spicy roll: (3.25/5) Ok. Not spicy. Texture of the fish knocked it back for me. It was kind of a smashed fish vs a filet. Maybe this is traditional...? Anyhow, not my favorite roll. I would come back again.“

“Great Pad Thai and sushi. Clean dining room. Attentive staff. On one occasion,, I was there near closing and they started cleaning the restrooms and the chemicals reached our table through the air as they were spraying the tables down (terrible practice I frequently notice in restaurants - you should spray the rag directly instead while patrons are present for this exact reason). Now I just make sure I'm not there on the later side of dinner service.Parking: Practically empty lot as most (all?) of the other businesses in the same strip mall have closed.“

“First time diner at Wasabi. First off, I can't believe I am leaving a 5 star rating based on the circumstances tonight. The food was excellent...some of the best sushi I have had in a while. But the place was packed...a complete madhouse...it was $7 roll night plus the night before Valentine's Day. Placed our order quickly and were excited for our rolls. The wait on our sushi order was over an hour which under normal circumstance would have me ballistic. What made this a 5 star experience was our amazing server, Michelle. She was incredibly good at her job...managed our expectations from the very beginning regarding the wait time for sushi and why things were going to take longer than normal. She also repeatedly mentioned that she hoped the long wait would not impact our decision to come back in the future...and is exactly what happened because of her care and attention to the situation.I dine out every day and was so impressed at how she managed our table. It is truly a rarity in this day and age to have someone so poised, professional and friendly able to manage our expectations the way she did given difficult circumstances. Thank you, Michelle!PS. we ordered the Philadelphia roll, the Batman Roll, the Yummy Roll and the Spicy Omega Roll...all beautifully presented and absolutely delicious...our favorite was the Spicy Omega.“

“I have celiac disease which, in very watered down terms, is a gluten allergy. I was nervous coming in because as a celiac, trying new restaurants is really scary when you know you might get sick.if you ask, they're super accommodating! my waitress was super nice and super patient and happily found an old copy of an allergen menu for me. as you'd expect, there aren't a whole lot of options available when it comes to rolls; there's spicy tuna, the california roll, etc. HOWEVER, there's tons of options when it comes to sashimi and nigiri! the fish is fresh and melts in your mouth and, above all, the staff is friendly, diverse, and all have really cool tattoos lol. thanks for the good food! :)Dietary restrictions: They happily make accommodations for gluten allergies!“

“When coming to place it can be a bit confusing due to the construction in front but when going in its actually a great place to hangout with your friends. Food was good and atmosphere was cozy. Just wish there was a lil more help with figuring out how to order or putting away plates. Overall 8/10 would recommend giving this place a try.Kid-friendliness: A few different claw machines and super vibrant colors.“

“Ok, coming from sushi in Seattle and Vancouver, BC, no sushi in st Louis come close quality wise. That being said, most sushi here isn't bad either. Now that we have those conditions it's more about value for me. The sushi AI all you can eat special is the absolute best value you will get for sushi anywhere I've found. Rolls, nigiri, miso soup, you name it. It was all just as good as any overpriced location I've been to.“
