“BLUF: A nice little spot to grab lunch while you are in the Maryville area. I was not in a spot to try any of the beers, but the location, ambiance, and service were all excellent. Certainly give it a try! This may be my first "first to review," so hopefully I do not disappoint! I have an office in Maryville, and while visiting there a coworker and I wanted to try somewhere new. He suggested the Black Pony, although he said he had never been here, but had heard good things. That was enough to tip the scales in favor. We were the only ones there, as we arrived on a Friday about 10 minutes after they opened. It is in a great location, and the interior of the place is awesome. I just love the way they have it all set up and decorated. Another cool thing is that it looks like they make the food right there behind the bar, which I thought was unique. I got the triple crown melt, while my partner got the CBR flatbread. My sandwich would be a little small for a lot of people, but it was very good. I have a tendency to overeat, so many times I appreciate the restaurant practicing portion control for me (lol). His CBR flatbread looked magnificent, and he was not able to finish the whole thing. I would certainly recommend the Black Pony if you are in town. I would like to try it again when I can sample some of the beers. The food menu is admittedly limited, but the beer menu is fairly robust. Give it a shot!“
