“Went on a Saturday at 6pm with my family. Was only one other family there. My fam looked around and then just picked a seat. I think someone was supposed to seat us but nbd. There was at least 5 ppl in the kitchen but they must've been (benefit of the doubt) working on carryout orders.
Atmosphere
Immediately noticed the upgraded/remodeled exterior and interior.
Likes: much brighter lighting, modern appearance, big TV playing the most watched cable news network for the last 14 years straight, elevated pub tables, new salad bar
Dislikes: far less seating availability in general, dining area reduced, far less booths than there used to be, those tall tables can be a safety hazard for the very young and elderly, there is a "booth wall" with three tables having chairs on the other side (these typically have less privacy), the three tables themselves are small (there wasn't enough room for a large pie, medium pie, and breadsticks. Waitress had to use other tables to hold our pizzas.) By the end of our meal, all seats were taken and there is next to no waiting area for other patrons.
Service/menu
Food was delicious as usual, no complaints. Had pizza and cheese sticks w marinara sauce. Ordered cherry Pepsi thinking it was actual brand CP. It's actually $0.50 cherry flavor added to $2.60 fountain Pepsi. Tasted GREAT! Drank 4 glasses. Had to get my money's worth. My fam didn't get as many refills so the price for a glass of soda was steep imo ($ set corporately?) for a small town.
Initially we were one of two families eating but the appetizer breadsticks didn't come out until the pizza came out. Again, a lot of staff in kitchen area but must've been doing carryout orders first before dine-in orders. Waitress was friendly and attentive.
Summary: great looking, clean chain restaurant with great tasting, moderately expensive food, but limited seating. Saturday night crew is young, nice, but maybe inexperienced in workflow and prioritizing orders.
I still give it a 5/5 because it's a hometown favorite, and I'm an easy pleaser when the food is good and my glass doesn't go empty. Will definitely recommend and return!“
