If you get your food to go then I guarantee it will be messed up. Items will be missing. I usually order the chicken bacon ranch club and tonight when I got home the only things included in my club was the chicken and bread.. no bacon or ranch in sight. I've spent too much money on this little hole in the wall restaurant trying to support local but it isn't worth it. After trying my sandwich despite the missing items I just threw it away. The breading on the chicken was awful and tasted like a pre made frozen chicken patty you'd purchase at a grocery store. I got fried okra as a side and had to spit out tough pieces multiple times. I understand eating here out of necessity but I would definitely recommend finding something else if you have the time.

This is absolutely the worst place to get food, dine in, carry out doesn’t matter. If you decide to eat here I hope your tetanus is up to date, or you have a really strong stomach. I gave it the benefit of the doubt for convenience and love to support local. I paid way too much for the junk I received got home and threw it away. I’d rather eat nothing than try to ingest this crap. Fish was way over cooked, chicken was pretty well dehydrated and fries tasted like they were fried in oil after someone had converted their vehicle to bio diesel. I’m pretty well nauseated while writing this trying to determine if I need to go to the hospital to have my stomach pumped after just a few bites. SAVE YOUR MONEY!! This is one place that needs to go under. Absolutely trash!!

They are the perfect hometown place! The food is perfect every time in my experience and I have eaten there many times, the prices ate reasonable, service is fast and very nice and accommodating, and the atmosphere is perfect almost always mind you sometimes during tourist season you might get an out of towner with a loud mouth or just a bad attitude or whatever but that is pretty rare really, so yes in my opinion it is easily a 5 star place here in the beautiful, Noel, Missouri!
Parking: It's really a great pla e to eat and very suitable for the whole family, you gotta give this place a try, and they love the opportunity to win you over with real home cooking!
Kid-friendliness: They have 2 different dining areas so if you have kids and you feel like they need an area to decompress from all of the excitement of camping and floating and kayaking etc. You can do so in the canopy dining room.

We went in, it was extremely dirty. Dirty bathroom, cobwebs in there! Towels on floor by the ice machine. There was plates on all the tables, and multiple faimlys came in and sat at dirty tables. Afrer about 20 mins of one family sitting down and not being helped or table cleaned, they left. Flies were flying around and we had to shoo them away. Our food took about 25 mins to come out to us once we ordered. Many others seemed upset at thw wait as well. The coffee was not good. The food portions vs price were not great. The food was tatsed okay. The staff was nice when we did encounter them.

We went there at about 1:30 pm due to several good reviews. Don't waste your time or money. Waited an hour and a half total. People came and went while we sat there. 2 omelets so shouldn't have taken long. Originally one of us had ordered grilled chicken. The waitress came out 15 minutes after we ordered to say they were out of grilled chicken... hash browns barely warm, not cooked... no butter on the toast, forgot side of bacon etc... Just not a good experience at all.

Hillside Café is a great "down home" style of food and service. Nothing fancy, but it's clean, good food and it's welcoming.
Don't be in a hurry, they're a small café with limited space and staff. But, it's worth the wait!!
Be sure to try their catfish!! Don't forget the pie!!! I love their coconut pie!! ❤
