Pizza Tascio NKC

Pizza is good but I do not like drinking pop from a can. Seems like they could buy a soda machine that offers ice as well. Will take a cup of ice next time 🙄

First time having Pizza Tascio. Picked up a pepperoni for the Chiefs game. It was amazing! good char on the crust, crispy bottom, and the sauce was really good. Also the price was fantastic. Spent $23 for an 18" pie that fed 5 adults. Well worth the drive from Zona to NKC. My new favorite pizza joint.

The best pizza in KC so far. Usually I just order couple pies on the way up north. Today I stopped by to get myself a quick snack. The best 10 bucks ever spent, never disappointing and easily digested compared to other pizzas. Definitely drop some of that honey on red tascioooo. elo

I ordered the two slice combo with a drink. It was the evening of New Year’s Day and though they were busy, the service and the pizza was great! Pizza Tascio has become my second favorite pizza joint in KC!

This is a great bite to eat in North Kansas City. Really good New York style slices, fair prices. Nothing fancy inside but a good place with some of the best pizza in KC.

The staff is friendly and the service is quick. It’s fun to see them twirl the pizza dough into a pie. Very authentic.

I'll just point out a few issues that could elevate it, but one positive was the sauce flavor from oregano.

Dry interior, doughy, dense, a bit chewy, cardboard like crust with minimal airation. I like a nice dark bake on the exterior of the pie, but there's point where if you don't have the right skill or equipment (oven), while trying to accomplish a crispy pizza.. you can dry it it out, which is what happened. Doesn't seem to be fermented, but could be. Hard to tell because it was so dry. Semolina flower spread across the under carage which is a bit overpowering in flavor. Not much variety of cheese. Hard grated aged pec, parm or grana would be nice. Maybe low moisture mozz only on upside down.

Slices are almost 50% more than a NYC slice in price $.
Overall, basic pie, overpriced (for the slice)..cut a few corners. Tascio should try to learn pizza fundamentals.

Great no-frills NY style pizza, by the slice. Perfect lunch stop with our kids after visiting the Rabbit hOle. Pizza slices are large and there is a good variety. Indoor seating is at high top counters, 5 seats at each window. Outdoor seating available in good weather.

Kid-friendliness: May not be great for small children. Works well if kids can sit at a bar height stool and handle their own pizza slice.

It’s arguably the best pizza in the Midwest! Take it from self certified pizza snob. Thin crust cooked just right with some delicious and creative pies. highly recommended! it’s not a restaurant it’s an old school pick up your pie or sit at the stool type of place.

Great pizza. Dough was as NY style should be. Quality ingredients and the 2 slice and soda deal cannot be beat.
