I wish they would consider making the chocolate chip sourdough loaves more often!! I love them, but the rarely have them

This place is nestled inside a little container shop area with bars, winery, music, and other restaurants. I wad intrigued by their garlic butter ficosia bread. All I can say is holy crap is that bread amazing!!! It's a perfect combination of herby bread and chewy butter garlicness. I'm pretty sure this just ruined me for other bread. Pit stop when visiting my sister. Sorry I don't have pictures, I ate it all already.

I’ve been a big fan of The Sourdough Spot since the early days of porch pickup and love their fantastic spot in the Iron District. I’m responsible getting lunch for my co-workers on busy days and Sourdough Spot is always top of the list for everyone, from the vegetarian who gets the best PB&J in town to the carnivores who love the PawPaw and Cool Kids Club. Hands down my favorite sandwich and fresh bread spot!

I’ve followed The Sourdough Spot forever on ig but finally had a chance to try it out. Everything was delicious! I had the turkey cheddar with bacon on the cheesy focaccia bread. Holy moly! Will be returning to try more things! Also got to sample the chocolate chip cookies and they were wonderful!

One of my favorite places to get a sandwich!! No need to look at the menu too long, you want a Pawpaw on cheesy garlic focaccia sourdough. My mouth is watering thinking about one. Fast and friendly service. Plus, Iron District is a vibe.

They consistently delivers across the board. Their sourdough loaves have a great crust and flavor, and the sandwich menu is a standout—fresh, well-balanced, and made with clearly high-quality ingredients. The cookies are also worth trying (they’re not an afterthought here), and they’ve recently added matcha and coffee drinks.
One thing that really elevates the experience is the owner. She’s genuinely welcoming, and you can tell there’s real care and pride behind everything being made. That level of attention shows up in both the food and the service.
Location-wise, it’s in the Iron District, which makes it more than just a quick stop. There’s a patio area that’s dog-friendly, so it’s a great option if you want to bring your dog along and spend some time outside.
If you’re deciding what to order: start with a sandwich on their sourdough, grab a cookie, and consider trying one of the matcha drinks. It’s the kind of place that’s easy to come back to regularly!

My favorite thing about the 40 minute drive from Overland Park to my son's basketball games at NKCHS was getting to grab some sourdough and salted butter for the drive home!! So delicious - sandwiches too!

This place is amazing. We had the cheesy sourdough focaccia, sandwiches, and sourdough loaves to take home. All of it was incredible. The owner is so friendly and sweet and the atmosphere is really cool and unique. We will definitely be back!
