La Costeñita is a small but conveniently located spot close to the hospital. It is a pretty chill place, not expensive, and offers good food and good service. The chips and salsa have great flavor, and the salsa is delicious. The best street tacos at the LOZ are served here, including one chorizo, one pastor made flavorful with chunks of pineapple, and one carnitas. The carnitas taco is a favorite, and the pollo bandido off the lunch menu comes out fast. Servers are accommodating, even making dishes not on the menu, and one server makes a really good avocado sauce. The place is clean, and the bartender helps select an after dinner tequila. It is hands down the best, with incredible pricing and great food.
