“I visited for the first time this past Saturday for an author event. I accidentally showed up early and was super embarrassed, but the staff was super friendly! They encouraged me to stay and hang out until event time and offered to get me a drink despite not technically being open. The latte was amazingly delicious, so I decided to take a lunch to go after the event. I'm a sucker for a good grilled cheese and tomato soup. The grilled cheese was made with 2 different kinds of cheese on a panini press! It was delicious! I'm giving this place 5 stars across the board. I will definitely be back and will be bringing friends! <3“

“Uptown Lounge has a great atmosphere! I love the live music that's not over the top. Not only are the musicians great to listen to, they have a personality that just makes things relaxing and enjoyable without feeling forced. Drinks are great and change with the seasons. So much fun listening to Vonne singing with the musicians while making drinks and attending to the patrons. Unique skillset that is rarely seen and treasured to observe.“

“Awesome little dive spot. Friendly staff, lots of drink options! Food was excellent. It appears to be a college/younger crowd spot, but we didn’t feel out of place. Cool local art on the walls. Our server was very knowledgeable about the local beers and the menu. Very impressed and will return!“

“I was dying to try an espresso martini while visiting from out of town. However, I had my toddler and baby with me—I didn’t want to bring family time to the bar so I quietly came in with my toddler (who needed to use the bathroom) and ordered an espresso martini to enjoy at the outdoor tables. Our fabulous bartender made an amazing espresso martini and also volunteered to make a “special lemonade” for our toddler. She was SO happy! *Disclaimer: this was in the early early evening so don’t let the toddler coming to use the bathroom deter you from an adult evening out. Great drink! Great vibes! Great service! Thank you!“

“This is a must visit in Kansas City!! There is a great variety of drinks for any preference. We have been coming here for years. Greg is the best bartender. Period. He really works to understand what the customer’s preference is and makes a drink to match their pallet. There is always a great movie or show playing in the tv. They have a great selection of bitters, mixers and unique bottle of liquor that can be purchased in the store section. Great atmosphere. You can come alone or with a group. Either way is a guaranteed great time!“
“Stunning decor and cocktails were so delicious! Service was excellent as well. Highly recommend for your night out.My only side note for improvement on food (hence the 4 stars instead of 5) would be dessert. We had the pistachio gelato was just ice cream and the affogato was very acidic, but everything else was incredible!“

“Was really good! Some of the best cocktails I've ever had. Came in during Sunday happy hour after 4 and was told all cocktails are $2 off, however got charged full price for one of hours. Bartender was too busy to ask about it after we got the itemized receipt. Overall, delicious. Just wish we would have gotten the full special.“

“Being stuck at the Hospital on the plaza has a silver living when you can walk down the street and get great food! I have been here several time and tried several items and they have all been so good. The people are very nice and cheerful. Try them out and you will be hooked!

“Located above Hand in Glove in downtown Lee’s Summit this hidden speakeasy is a cocktail gem you definitely need to try. Walked in without a reservation on a Friday night and got seated immediately. The cocktails were all uniquely crafted and absolutely delicious. The smoked vanilla old fashioned is a must try, one of the favorite cocktails in Kansas City. The bartender and manager were very accommodating when I ordered a cocktail that I didn’t enjoy and they made me something else with no questions asked. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

“I like Grinders but the description of the “preferred viewing upgrade” was completely misleading! It was crazy hot so we got it strictly for the A/C Not anywhere near the stage and could barely hear the music when we went to get a beverage at the coffee shop (which is the a/c “lounge “) And the view was of the side of the stage and could barely see any of the performers. I will never pay for that upgrade ever again. Someone definitely needs to update the info on their ticket and venue site.“

“We hosted our cocktail hour for our wedding at The Kill Devil Club while we had our ceremony and reception at The Gallery and it was SO FUN!!! It was the perfect spot for our guests to go while the ballroom was being transitioned into our reception! I would highly recommend Kill Devil to anyone having their wedding at The Gallery Event Space!!!“
