“Ate here last night and this restaurant is a "must try!" I had the 12 oz. KC Strip, mashed potatoes, garlic green beans, and... for dessert, apple caramel bread pudding with cinnamon ice cream was to die for! The atmosphere was a bit loud for my taste, but aside from that, it was delightful!“

“Was really good! Some of the best cocktails I've ever had. Came in during Sunday happy hour after 4 and was told all cocktails are $2 off, however got charged full price for one of hours. Bartender was too busy to ask about it after we got the itemized receipt. Overall, delicious. Just wish we would have gotten the full special.“

“I’m in town on a long business trip. I was looking for a bar just like this one : not a generic chain bar, small, mainly locals, pool table….this bar is awesome. Within an hour I was chatting to the very friendly local patrons and playing pool. The lady working the bar was so nice and welcoming. I’ll be back for sure before I head out of Kansas. Oh, the beers on tap are freakin’ HUGE! I didn’t eat anything, so not sure about the food menu here.“

“Our second visit to this swanky speakeasy and we loved it! Creative cocktails, the BEST service and just an overall great vibe. Be aware that their charcuterie plates are huge (not a bad thing) and will take up most of the table space. 100% recommend. We'll be back again soon!“

“Food is really good, I've ordered many times from them but my last order included an $8.25 fee for carry out supplies. They charge a percent of the entire bill. No where in the check out process do they tell you this. This seems excessive for 6 utensil packs and 5 takeout containers. Many other BBQ places with similar price points do not charge this fee. If you are going to charge extra fees be up front about it.“

“a friend and i stopped in for dinner before a show at the uptown. our server, honey, was so kind and attentive and gave us some great recommendations from the menu. we had the rasta pasta and the lamb tibs. everything was hot, fresh, and flavorful. don’t be afraid of spice when you go here!! the vibe is relaxed and comfortable, we tried it on a whim but will absolutely be back.“

“They have the most unique drinks I have ever seen. One even comes in a little trash can 😂. Staff is super friendly. Small place, easy to miss so look carefully when you arrive. Highly recommend!“
“It's the best dive bar in all of Kansas City—the only downside is that you might run into some homeless people in the area. It's just a few blocks from the Westport neighborhood. The people who go there are really nice—you get to hear all kinds of stories,cheap beer and 🎯 also they sell cigarettes 🚬“

“Stopped in back in September and ordered The Sicilian—absolutely fantastic! The staff made me feel like an Italian rock star! Incredibly friendly, knowledgeable service, and a restaurant that was super clean with a really cool atmosphere.

“Dodson’s is a great spot all around. The service is consistently excellent, the drinks are good, and the vibe is relaxed yet lively. There’s always a nice mix of people, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere.
