Oh my goodness… where do I start? I purchased two pieces of pie yesterday at Food Truck Friday in Jefferson City, MO and just now tasted the banana cream pie. A Slice of Pie in Rolla offers a variety of pies and some savory options for lunch. The restaurant has a cute atmosphere and friendly staff, making it a welcoming spot for visitors. It is also accessible for wheelchairs. Though there are limited vegetarian choices and no gluten-free options, customers can enjoy a chicken salad sandwich, chicken and mushroom pot pie, as well as a selection of apple and coconut cream pies, among others. The banana cream pie and turtle cheesecake have been highlighted for their deliciousness, with one customer praising the banana cream pie as “the most delicious pie ever.” Prices are reasonable, but some find the pie slices a bit expensive for the size. Portions are usually satisfying, and the chicken salad and chicken pot pie receive high praise. The cherry pie remains a perfect dessert choice. Despite occasional inconsistencies in slice size or taste, A Slice of Pie is worth visiting to support local businesses and enjoy a delicious meal. The server has been noted for her hard work, managing many customers at once. Overall, A Slice of Pie is highly recommended for anyone seeking well-made desserts and hearty meals.
