“I've been a regular at Public House for quite a while now and just attended their New Years's Eve celebrations this year. I was really excited to see the pub's remodel as someone who has loved the Rolla location for over a decade. The newly remodeled interior is beautiful while keeping the same funky art and colorful details that it's always been known for. The food specials that night and throughout have been amazing (go on Fridays for the smashburgers!). Their regular and seasonal beers are tasty (had the chocolate porter). The staff are friendly, charming, and effectively managed a busy night of service on my last visit. This is my go-to spot in Rolla; I always take visitors here to check it out.“

“Crazy... we were the only ones dining it at 7pm on a Friday night. Especially for the amazing foot. Cheese bites and fries, a BBQ Chicken, a Ham, and deluxe pizza. YUMMMMM! We finished and did some running around, drove back by and they were packed. I guess we hit the in-between dead time. Best pizza in Rolla!!“

“The food we ordered are cooked in authentic Chinese way. 回锅肉和酸辣白菜all taste very good. The egg drop soup is also nicely made. The rice they cooked is not too hard nor too soft, just as good as what I expected. The portions are generous. We two can not finish two dishes , have to pack half of the 回锅肉。I will rate it 5 star if the place is newer.“

“Four of my friends and I stopped at “A Slice of Pie” for lunch on our way to Kimmswick for the Christmas Cookie Walk. I had eaten there with my daughter, about ten years ago, which is WAY too long. I used to buy their ‘Take and Bake’ Pies at Harter House, but my local store no longer carries them. They’ve always been good. Why did it take me so long to come back? I’m usually traveling with my husband and he prefers BBQ or a burger when we’re traveling. I’m glad I mentioned it Saturday, when we were looking for a place to eat lunch! We all loved it so much that we ate there again the next day, on our way home. Between us, we tried both kinds of Chicken Pot Pie (Traditional and Mushroom), the Chicken Salad on Croissant, the Tomato Soup, and the Bacon Quiche. Each entree was served with two hot rolls. I didn’t have room for the rolls, but those who did said they were good. Dessert? You may have to take it with you, but they’re packaged well. The quiche reheats well in the microwave. Those who tried it said it was the best quiche ever, and ordered it again the second day, so I took a piece home to try. I haven’t tried my Cherry Raspberry yet, but the others said the Coconut Cream (whipped cream) and Custard were wonderful. I did try one of his cinnamon/sugar pie crust cookies. They tasted just like my mama used to make. He said he’s planning to sell those at the Harter House Stores in the Springfield area, so I’ll be looking for them. He’s also bringing a truck to Harter House in Springfield on Eastgate, occasionally, so I’ll be watching their Facebook Page so I can buy a piece of pie without going to Rolla. Good pie crust makes a pie, and luckily, you can find them in the freezer case at Harter House and Price Cutter Stores. Look for “Mickey’s Pie Crust”, ready to put in the oven and bake.“

“Surprised my wife w lunch. She chose Coltons steakhouse Rolla. Special for lunch was a Prime dip sandwich my side was a house salad. Now I like to think of myself a bit of a food connoisseur. This meal did not disappoint. As the kids these days would say it was on Point!. Delicious every last bite, the portions were big. With that being said we definitely will be back! Our waitress was very professional and thorough. There was no wait time to be seated and our food arrived surprisingly quick. No complaints here just all compliments!“
