“Finally a place that serves hot, fresh BBQ! We’ve tried most of the BBQ places between Sedalia and Warsaw and have been disappointed with dry, reheated meat sold at premium prices. One place even tried to pass off fried potato peels for French fries (not even kidding, they were very thin potato peels, I can only assume from potatoes peeled for the potato salad). We swore off BBQ completely after that. Last night, on the spur of the moment, we stopped at Mallards truck and picked up a pound of brisket and a pound of pulled pork along with a couple of sides. I was very happily surprised to find that it was fresh and very juicy and fed 4 adults amply. If you’ve been disappointed with the quality of BBQ in the area, definitely go find the Mallards truck, it’s worth the drive and you’ll be glad you did.“

“If you find yourself in the Sedlia area, this is must stop! Entering the resturant, I was immediately comforted by a family vibe that made me right at home. We were seated very quickly and were able to get a table in the old train car they have attached to the restaurant! It was such a cool experience to have dinner in the train car and the food was amazing! (Make sure to try the catfish! Some of the best I've had in a long time!)“
