We dined at Bruno's and enjoyed our experience, but the kitchen was having an “off night” and our waiter apologized. Our entrees were served one at a time, with lots of time between each one coming to the table. The wood fired pizza looked amazing- I'll order one next time for sure! My husband had the scallops and I think maybe he had 6 smallish scallops on his plate (sauce was really good though) and a huge mound of potatoes. I know they were either understaffed in the kitchen or new, but I do hope they get it smoothed out soon. Otherwise, a very lovely time, and they didn't seem to complain when we stayed and talked at the table till close.

We had a party of 6. Our table was set up for us when we arrived. The service was outstanding. The food was amazing........ The appetizers and entrees were so good. We had a wonderful time. My granddaughter loved her food... Thanks Mike and Kennedy and everyone that served us.

This little gem is awesome! When we entered the restaurant our table was ready for us, water glasses filled and romantic candle lit. The chef takes pride what comes out of his kitchen and our server, TARA, was unbelievably accommodating. Please do yourself a favor and check out Bruno's 👍 Continued success.

The food is delicious! However, the service was lacking. Our large group had a reservation for 3 weeks. The restaurant had 1 waitress for 5 tables, including our table of 9. No bartender and I believe the kitchen staff was 2 people. I saw the waitress turn people away at the door. We walked in at 1130 and walked out at 130. No drinks or dessert, just basic appetizer and lunch. Definitely encourage the owner to staff correctly.

Service was great! Never had to seek out wait staff they were very attentive at The Kennedy. We love old historic buildings with tall ceilings, beautiful wood floors and an inviting bar area. We enjoyed listening to Clara Rae sing while enjoying the cozy bar setting with the backdrop of the city at night through the big spacious windows that were highlighted with stained glass panes. We will definitely go back again.

Beautiful decor. I came in with high expectations based on the reviews, but unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to them. Bruno's Gin-Secco was excellent, but it took 30 minutes to arrive — and the restaurant was less than half full. That delay set the tone for the rest of the evening. I ordered a steak rare, and while the edges were nicely done, the center was medium to medium-well — something I've never seen before and a clear sign of poor execution. Bread didn't arrive until 30 minutes into the meal, and the portobello ravioli was only enjoyable after being reheated. The staff seemed overwhelmed despite a slow night, which makes me wonder if the restaurant is understaffed or just poorly managed. Whatever the reason, the service and kitchen issues made this a one-and-done for me. I won't be giving it a second chance.

My wife and I enjoyed our final dinner on our anniversary trip to Missouri at Bruno‘s Italian restaurant. The staff cannot be more helpful, nicer, and they made our night special! The food was excellent, and the chef was willing to make alterations to the menu to suit our diet. I highly recommend dining at Bruno‘s if you are in Springfield, Missouri.

The restaurant has come alive again under new management. Great new menu. Our waitress Sherry is e excellent. Salads very good. The carbonara was disappointing but other pastas were very nice. They had cocktail, wine and food specials. We will return.

Passed through this town and my boyfriend and I decided to stop for dinner. The server was sweet and the food was okay. We needed a jump start for my car, and the assistant manager was quick on her feet to help us. We were parked directly in front of the restaurant, so for their sake, we wanted to get the car out of the way for other customers. The manager of the restaurant came out to help as well, as she let us use her car to jump. It was evident that she was under the influence. She cursed at us and was very rude. I would have expected better hospitality after spending $70 on dinner.

Went in for lunch and was honestly disappointed. The place wasn’t very busy, so I expected decent service, but our server was hardly around. It took way too long to get our food, and when it finally showed up, my $30 plate of ravioli was already cold — clearly had been sitting out for a while before it made it to the table. For that price, I was expecting something fresh and at least warm. The food might have been decent if it had been served properly, but the experience overall just didn’t justify the cost.

Haven't been here in quite awhile but will definitely be back soon. Food was amazing, even better than I remember. We had a dish which featured their homemade noodles and it was so good! The service was great, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Their cocktails were wonderful too. I highly recommend when looking for a downtown place to eat.
