This was the worst brisket sandwich I've ever had. We tried this because it was on the Travel channel. We were expecting great BBQ. The brisket looked baked, had no crust, was bland, and barely any smoke flavor at all. The Mac n cheese was off as well. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for BBQ.

Good service, good atmosphere, food...not so good. Food wasn't bad, but it wasn't good for BBQ. We got the sampler, the salmon, & some add-on wings. Most of the meat items looked baked or like commercially purchased pre-sliced meats. The ribs were the only item with a smoke ring & any smoke flavor and they were served covered in sauce. Sides were good. They had a large offset smoker in the parking lot cooking between 175-200 but I didn't peek or ask what was in it. So much potential to be an awesome BBQ dive, and lots of awards on the wall but something not right with their method.

Usually love this place, but they really messed up and didn’t pay attention. Ordered a smoked turkey sandwich with sweet potato fries then briskest (non sandwich) with two sides, and we got one order with a brisket sandwich that wasn’t asked for and a smoked turkey sandwich both with green beans and okra that sounds nothing like sweet potato fries! Idk how you mess up like that ?

I ordered the "smoked turkey" sandwich and got deli meat on a hamburger bun. Menu should have said deli sandwich. It was gross. I spoke to the staff and they got very defensive about it and insisted it was turkey smoked and sliced in their establishment. I am a retired food safety inspector for the USDA, and I know the difference between a smoked turkey and deli turkey.

Best burnt ends you’ll ever have. It’s a must stop in Springfield, MO and we’ve driven an hour + to make ourselves be in town to eat here when passing anywhere close by. We love the sweet potato fries, fried okra, baked beans, etc, but everything is good.Kid-friendliness: Our kids love eating here. Great seating upstairs to watch traffic & the scrolling sign from Bass Pro Shop.
We have not been to Buckingham in awhile. Decided to go by and get Sokehouse Baked potato. Was very good. No complaints on food. But girl through drve through very rude and does no way need to deal with public.
I have loved Buckingham's the last 8 years. The last few times I've gone, has been a little disappointing to be honest. I ordered burnt ends today, and they're tough. Not really tender and warm at all. I asked for sweet potato fries and was given beans ? I'll keep trying it. But I hope the meat ends up being warm and tender full of flavor as it had been.

We ordered the Dave's Pit Combo loaded with all the meats, ribs, hot link, pulled pork, brisket, ham & turkey. Everything was delicious. The rib meat fell clean from the bone and had the perfect smoked flavor without the prominent rub flavor. All the meats were juicy and flavorful. We also ordered the ham & cheese fries which were surprisingly good. The seating area is a bit small but they have additional seating in an upstairs area. Prices matched quality & quantity. Overall, one of the best places to eat in Springfield.
