Very small diner, but great food great prices it’s Route 66 themed and family ran. If your wanting nostalgia of old diner and Route 66 great place to go to. You can go to the 66 car museum right next door after!

This restaurant is a step back in time for Route 66. It's been a long staple in Springfield and has had many different names over the decades. However, great food and great service have remained the same. The menu has a variety of home cooked meals starting with breakfast, then lunch and dinner. The staff there works hard and is very friendly. It sits on College St, which used to be Route 66.

I come to Springfield semi-regularly and have even previously been to the Route 66 Museum, but somehow, prior to yesterday, I had never eaten at the College Street Café... and that was dumb of me.

The place was a brief summary of much of what makes me happy in this world; good burgers and all things vintage. The atmosphere was stellar and the burger was as close to perfect as you can get. Just a very well-cooked smash burger with no frills needed.
