We came from St. Louis to Springfield on vacation.
I researched food trucks in the area before going. This one had great reviews and kept popping up.
It didn't disappoint!!

Wasn’t sure if we wanted to eat here or at the competitors next door, but I’m very happy we chose to eat at El Salvador! The food was awesome. I’m usually really picky about Mexican food, but the guy inside helped me feel comfortable about his food and he was very excited and confident to make our food. I also usually stray away from food trucks, but for my authentic Mexican food I will from now on be eating here. Very delightful experience and it opened my eyes to new kinds of food. I recommend the pupusas!

Great food and good prices
Got the chicken fajita burrito and it was muy delicioso
this food truck has improved since before they didn't even have a menu or any prices to show what they sold. There are only two seriously authentic Mexican places we go to in town and this is one of them. I found them just because I have a Relics booth. I'm not sure if this the permanent parking spot because there were many visits and they were not there or not open. This truck and the I love Tacos locations have given me one less thing to miss from southern California when we moved here. The tacos and the burritos and our typical order usually Asada and Lingua.

Authentic,,Simple ingredients,,Tremendous flavor!! We had both chicken and steak tacos, and a chicken quesadilla and enjoyed every bite! Reasonably priced and easily accessible from Battlefield Rd.Highly recommend ? ? ✌️

haven't gotten anything yet I haven't liked!!!! Went there on my lunch break and my card got declined, they were gracious enough to let me have it anyway and I came back after my shift and repaid them in cash!!! Can't recommend this place ENOUGH!!!

Well I was on the hunt for a Mexican breakfast this morning but I couldn't find one. I ended up here and was going to try the thing that starts with an S but since I don't want ham, the worker suggested me to do a quesadilla. So I did that, a carnita quesadilla. He asked if I wanted onions and cilantro and I said yes. I was kind of surprised this was all that was on it besides cheese. I guess I had my mind on breakfast burrito mode still. It was really good but also greasy. I like Greasy too so no big deal. The sauce was good but I would like a hotter sauce. I have been visiting all the taco trucks and here it was nice to be able to talk to someone that can speak clear English.
I'm visiting my gf, im from out of out of state and back home in VA I know that the best Mexican food is always in the food trucks if you want real authentic tacos and not that watered down Americanized mexican food like at a lot of your restaurants. So I figured that theory should be right out here in Missouri to. IT WAS!!! My gf is from missouri and had never been to a food truck but loves authentic tacos so her and I went to El Sabor de Mexico Taqueria and she said that was one of the best tacos she has ever had in her life and she thanked me for introducing her to food trucks haha.
