Wow! This place was phenomenal! JJ our waiter/server had exceptional service. He even held one of our to go orders until the main course was served. Even though they were running behind on sushi, we were given complimentary miso soup for the waited. I would highly recommend everyone who is ever in Springfield, Mo to come here.

Once sat we received service immediately given water, asked if we had any questions, great start. We then ordered our food (just a couple rolls) and appetizers (2). We received our appetizers fairly quickly and that was it for an hour. A table of 6 seated after us, we were a table of 4, was served, finished and paid before we got our food. We did not order a large amount of food but sat for an hour waiting for a couple rolls. We understood it was holiday (we made a reservation) but an hour for a couple of rolls and larger parties seated after, done before our smaller party, not impressed. The topper was being blasted with cold air everytime someone walked in while we waited.

It took over two hours to get our food and our second drinks took almost an hour. I have not ever had this bad of an experience there.

Went for an early dinner on a Sunday evening and took an out-of-town guest. The tables were not set up for dining and there were no napkins or usual dishes on the table. Only the menus were there, and there was only one menu for two people. We had to ask for a second menu. For the first hour we were there, there were not a lot of diners. There did appear to be a large group in a private dining area. We ordered drinks and they were very slow in coming. We ordered dinner and waited over an hour for it to arrive. My guest ordered from the early dining menu. I ordered an Ahi tuna entree from the main menu. The food on my plate looked fine, but it was cold. I was not able to cut the tuna with a knife. It was totally inedible. The pasta that came with the entrée was cold and sticky. For some reason, the service was inordinately slow and delayed. The price of my entrée was removed from the ticket, but I left with no dinner. I was embarrassed to have subjected my out-of-town guest to such poor service and bad food. Whilr are the service at Aaron can typically be expected to be slow, the food has always been very good in the past. Very disappointing.

Excellent quality all around per usual! Best long-standing restaurant in Springfield in my opinion.

We dined here for the first time after a dear friend recommended it. We like Asian food and sushi, so we were inclined to try it. It exceeded all our expectations! My husband had two varieties of sushi, one being the spicy tuna roll. I had the salmon bento box. Mine included a crisp salad with a delicious light lemon creamy dressing and a cup of miso soup. My box contained grilled teriyaki salmon, four pieces of sushi, four tempura shrimp along with tempura vegetables, a bowl of rice, and an orange artistically cut into bite size pieces. The accompanying dipping sauce was delicious! Even though we were full, we ordered the banana dessert. Fabulous! This was our first experience at this wonderful restaurant, but it will not be our last! The prices were reasonable for the quality and amount of food. The service was well-paced, and our server was friendly, efficient, and we enjoyed very much!

We sat in main dining area. Middle room, food was very good and service excellent. We did dine early this evening.

We were looking at another place but it wasn’t open yet, so we opted for this place. Tucked in a small shopping complex. We were promptly greeted and seated. Our waiter was very attentive. Appetizer was the dynamite (tuna stuffed jalapeño) and it was good. I ordered a couple of sushi rolls, no complaints. I also had their version of an Old Fashioned and it was good. My wife got the beef bento box. Steak was cooked to medium rare just as she likes it. However, she bit into the tempura cauliflower and pulled out about a 3 inch long hair! She set it aside, informed the waiter and the manager came over to apologize. The hair experience was the only negative. We will probably try a different place for our next visit to Springfield.

Absolutely amazing sushi and drinks! This place is our new favorite sushi restaurant by far. We are so glad we gave it a chance. The fish tasted fresh without any “fishy flavor” and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing!

James is the master! Chef’s choice nigiri and sashimi, deserve the chef’s kiss! And just look at the presentation, immaculate. Sat at the sushi bar and the sushi chefs were extremely pleasant. It was also nice to be able to commend them for a job well done. Always a great meal and great vibes!

Well, unfortunately I am not sure I will partake in sushi anytime soon. At least 15 years of eating here and have never left so much food behind.
Quality control was not in the cards tonight apparently. From appetizers to sushi, disappointment left and right. I have no problem spending 100s of dollars on a special occasion dinner, when the food is food. The ambiance was lacking, as well as a stale water smell around our table. I can even understand subpar food when at the peak of a busy night….tables everywhere. Three generations of diners at the table disappointed.
