Krackin Cajun Seafood House Springfield

I dont want to be mean, only share my experience and hopefully inspire some change. I was so excited to come here. I was craving cajun so bad and did not get cajun food. I got the red king crab with potatoes, corn and boiled eggs. It had almost no flavor even with the seasonings added in. The crab and corn were over cooked. I was sadly disappointed. I asked to sample the etoufee and the sauce was amazing but the shrimp and crawfish were highly overcooked and had the consistency of rubber. I made due and ate because I'm pregnant and hungry and because for the barely any food (2 kids got small shrimp with fries and husband only got fries) we got, it cost $200. I have no problem spending if its cooked correctly and what they claim the food is supposed to be. Not worth the price where flavor, cooking and portion is concerned. I enjoyed eating because I was hungry and it was edible enough to eat but not due to consuming good food. Service was okay. Our waitress asked if I wanted my cup refilled and I said no and she filled it anyway (I do not like wasting) and didn't clear the table until we were done. I have worked in many restaurants and know what is expected in a restaurant and the amount of cross contamination I witnessed was unacceptable. The man bussing tables dropped a salt shaker on the floor and put it right back on the table as well as putting condiments on the chair where people put their butt and stuck those on the table without cleaning seats or bottles. After I was done eating, I went to go wash my hands and saw that the drink refill pitchers were right near the sink you wash seafood off of your hands! So as the seafood and soap splashes off of your hands it has a good chance of getting into your drink when they come to refill you. Needless to say, we won't be coming back. I honestly feel bad giving less than a 5 star review anywhere but I had to share honestly what happened here.

Waited 30 mins for a boil that wasn't seasoned and missing corn.

My husband and I brought our 4 kids, plus his sister and brother in law and their two kids and had a phenomenal experience there!! The food was AMAZING and the staff were so respectful and considerate!! Next time we’re up that way, we are definitely stopping again!!

Amazing food that is consistent and delicious every time! Great staff who take great care of you. It kind of feels like you’re eating with family there.

First time going was tonight and I’ll definitely be back! Not only was the food great and reasonably priced, but the service was top tier. Jennifer was our server and she was attentive, funny, and amazing at her job! Great service really makes or breaks an experience.
