We were passing thru town on vacation looking for a place for a late meal, & not only did they keep the kitchen open later for us but the food was excellent! The bartender was nice and my food to go did not take too long. I ordered the Verde salad, French Dip Sandwich and the Fried chicken liver app. The chicken livers were burnt to a tooth breaking crunch and inedible for $14. No Au Jus for the sandwhich—it is a French Dip???
The sandwich was good but not the way it should have been. The salad was fine.
Had a great dinner at Mazo with my family tonight. The cheese bread and pepperoni pizza were awesome. At one point our 3 year was throwing a bit of a fit. I walked her outside and the owner saw us. He took the time to ask her name and then followed up by asking if she and her sister liked ice cream. He treated them to ice cream which I’m sure they enjoyed more than the pizza ? An extremely nice gesture!
