Last night, I got a few things at a price cutter, got to the cashier; then was told that my food stamp card was suspended. This is the 5th time this junk has happened by them. I called the number on my food stamp card, and, SURPRISE, SURPRISE; it is still valid and active. I was told by the food stamp people that price cutter either does not have the current software, or that their card readers are antic's and need to be modernized. If it is the latter, then any credit card transaction could be compromised. You have been warned! Plus, the snide comments made is not the way to treat a disabled US Army veteran. I admit that the few "coolers" that were empty did not look professional, but just empty. This has happened at 4 different Price cutters. I am now cutting price cutters as a place to spend my money.

The guys at the Boars Head meat counter are amazing. Every single time. Customer service 100%. Lunch meat is the only reason I come to this store and these guys make it enjoyable.

I was needing help and this young man with alot of tattoos helped me and didn't act like he was annoyed. He didn't just point me in a direction he actually walked me right to it. Thank who ever you are at the battlefield and 65 location

Why do I keep going back?? Third time my produce has turned rotten in less than 24 hours! Manager said he'd speak to the manager of "produce"....what??? If you are a manager you should know how things are going in ALL departments, your a manager! And by the way, if you are taking a call at the store, you might think it's probably a customer & sounding the least bit interested with whom you are speaking to, just doesn't help your situation either. Passing this on to Pyramid Foods too.

I don't live in Springfield but I'm here often for National Guard drill and price Cutter seems to be the grocery store I lean to most when I'm here. This one here on Battlefield is a nice modern store with a lot of amenities, including a bbq trailer, a nice liquor/wine department. The store layout seems a little off compared to other stores I'd consider impressive but I guess it works for them. For the most part their prices seem in order unless you're looking into their "convenience" good like cut fruit. They're a little too proud of that for my comfort so as far as I care, it can rot. I'll post a pic on that.

I finally tried the bbq they smoke out front and wow, what an experience. The pulled pork was so tender and full of flavor that it gives some of the best bbq joints in the city a run for their money. The ribs were okay, but the sausages were awesome too, not too spicy but just as tasty.

Much more expensive than other foods stores some items are even double the price of Walmart . Too expensive for a full food shop but as it's closer to my home I will use it for emergency supplies when I'm in a rush.

The store has made some great changes with its meger to Ruby's. It has great variety and decent sale items. The store always looks clean and bright. Lillys Floral has Amazing flowers and gifts to choose from. I greatly enjoy how helpful the customer service has been.

Ruby's offers a variety of juice blends that are really nice. The 16 oz bottles let me mix and match flavors and are good for 3 days or so. So far, it is more affordable than other places.

I had never been to a Price Cutter before I came here last night. It was a little later, near closing time. But I came in there looking for food but the Deli was closed, but the guy I happened to ask for help worked in the deli and despite it already being closed he went the extra mile looking in back cooler for what I needed. Idk his name, I remember what he looked like. Tall in jeans, t shirt and boots. He was awesomely helpful for an outta towner though, so thanks!!

I am no fan of Pyramid Food's Price Cutter stores. This one, since Ruby's consolidated with it, is worth going to. The supplement section has been refined to include great prices on sports and weightlifting supplements, as well as brands that weren't represented well in Springfield - like Solgar - that are quality and economical. The hot food areas - with it's pizza, food bar, and hot food behind the counter - is impressive for the money and often features some amazing deals. Always a nice selection of marked down bakery treats. Meat area also has some good deals.

This review is about the Price Cutter at west Bypass and Chestnut Exp. My wife saves up winning lottery tickets. Never cashes them in until she has at least $100.00. Today she took in $254.00 worth of winning tickets. The clerk, that scanned them said she had $219.00. We said he was mistaken. "No", he said, "I added twice and this is what it comes to". We asked him to check all tickets again, he was very reluctant to do so. I did have to raise my voice to get him to agree to check them again. My wife, as always was very nice and said maybe some just got stuck together. Funny thing, the first two tickets he picked up had not been scanned and totaled $35.00. This is the second time this has happened to her at this store, from two different employees. We feel this was no mistake. Complete dishonesty on the part of these employees. A word of warning. Always know the amount of your winning tickets before you turn them in. We have shopped this store since it opened, and will continue to do so. We will just stay aware of what the employees are doing.

Good prices on some but not all. Steaks were not very good but pork chops were great. Just be selective.

we live down the street, have been patronizing this location since it was built for Smittys. I have been in service industry all my life. have always had very good relations with all employees. Something happened this year at this location, well. since Royce got transferred. I still havent met the latest GM. All I know is GOOD people are running out the door. I have been told that there has been a kind of shut down on being too conversational with customers, lets see, Customer Service? And, this is strange, havent been seeing name tags, I understand protecting identity, but, a customer calling an employee by name does make the employee feel like somebody. This is the neighborhood friendly store, well, hasnt been that way lately. And no,I am not someone who has nothing better to do, I care about this community, and employees

It's OK but not great. What really let's them down is their bakery, which never has fresh bread, it's always at least a day old. Here's a tip: after 8 hours bread is stale and should be thrown out and a new batch made.
