I am a huge fan of Portillo’s Italian Beef sandwiches (mainly in Chicago, IL area) & finding anyplace that even comes close to their quality & flavor is near impossible. The previous was important to know about me because I don’t say this lightly ….. Queen City Deli has an awesome Italian Beef Sandwich!!!!!! I recommend the sandwich with cheese, dipped in the au jus gravy, & hot gardiniera peppers (if ya can handle spicy hot). Yes, the sandwich is messy that way, but just grab plenty of napkins & enjoy the wonderful attack on your taste buds. The Italian beef is the only thing I have had there, so I cannot comment on anything else. However, I have driven 130 miles round trip for that Italian beef because I live in Arkansas & there is no place closer for an awesome Italian beef. I came, I saw, I ate.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Every item we had was incredible, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere/vibe of the place was wonderful. Please, if you’re in the mood for a sandwich, don’t go to a chain.. go here!

Having had a decent Italian sub in at least 4 years. Coming to Missouri, the food is a little different. But this Italian combo sandwich, I got was delicious old school, sub role, tasty peppers and vinegary, delicious.

Hi, Transplant from Chicago here!
The Italian Roast Beef Sandwiches and the Tiramisu Desserts are like being back in the old neighborhood. A+ taste and service.

It is a nice place to sit down or to get takeout. The food was delicious (soup and salid) with a fountain drink.

Parking may be a little tricky at meal times. I visited mid-afternoon with no issues.

I suggest dining in to get the impact of what is being provided here.

Queen City Deli is an absolute gem and highly recommended! The food was truly great – every bite was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care.

What truly elevates the experience is the fantastic staff. They're not just efficient, but genuinely friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you step in. It’s rare to find such a perfect combination of excellent food and wonderful service, making Queen City Deli a definite must-visit.

Good place for a quick grab of Italian fare. Tried the toasted beef ravioli and loved it. The ambiance is nice and friendly. The one that topped the taste buds was the tiramisu , was aamzing. A ' will visit again' place.

We had a party of seven with 5 of the bunch having different sandwiches. All of us were quite pleased with our selections. The freshness and quality definitely shined through. Just a great meal.

Jay serves up quality food each and every time we stop by Queen City Deli. You can tell he truly cares about the customer and their dining experience as he always has fresh and quality ingredients that come out looking too good to eat. My go to is the #5 - South Side Sicilian Po-Boy: Genoa salami, capicola, pepperoni and provel dressed with lettuce, tomato, onion, pepperoncini, and topped with our house dressing and my husbands is his 9. Italian Beef Combo
Same as above with salsiccia. We have been coming here for years and always enjoyed our meals. Definitely a quality stop in Springfield, MO! Also, we love their tiramisu!! It’s a must! Thanks for all the great food and experiences, Jay!

While everything I’ve had here is great I will admit almost always get The Burnes. So simple yet so delicious, tenderloin and garlic cheese bread. Have not found a steak sandwich in town that can touch it. If you are lucky enough to come on a day where pizza is a special, order it for an appetizer to share.
