This place is a regular stop for us. The Crab Rangoons are the best in town as well as the Orange Chicken, which is what we ALWAYS get!!I tried the Shrimp Chow Mein this time because I was in the mood for some bean sprouts....NO bean sprouts ? kind of a disappointment, but it was still good, so no complaints to speak of.
This was my first time at Hong Kong Inn but not my first cashew chicken experience. Out of all of the different options in Springfield, this one is one of the better choices. The chicken is hot and fresh and free of any gristly pieces. The sauce tastes the way cashew chicken sauce should, not too salty and thick enough to stay coated to the chicken. This place serves the best Springfield-style cashew chicken, in my opinion, and far and away the best crab rangoon anywhere! Everything else I've tried has been great. Fresh veggies in the egg rolls, fried in fresh oil - delicious! Egg drop soup on a cold day - yum! Generous portions and consistent quality!
