I've came here twice so far and both times the workers are awkward and kinda rude but the donuts both times were amazing and had a great variety. Update I've been back a couple of more times and the workers are some the rudest people and have no customer service skills. It was so bad that I didn't even get the right donuts because the guy was rushing me and didnt want to explain what the different flavors were. He didn't even greet me when I walked in just gave a dirty look. I only still come here because the donuts are so good.

St. George’s Donuts – East Sunshine, Springfield, MO
I’ve been coming to St. George’s Donuts on East Sunshine for over 30 years. It’s been a local favorite for my family and me, and I’ve always appreciated the fresh, flavorful donuts that made this place stand out. That’s why my visit yesterday morning around 8 AM was so disappointing.
I picked up couple of twist donut that didn’t even look like twist, also half dozen classic glazed—two of my longtime favorites—and both varieties were noticeably dry, lacking any real flavor or freshness. They tasted more like they’d been sitting out overnight than made fresh that morning. The texture was dense and stale, which is not at all what I’ve come to expect from St. George’s.
I really hope this was just an off day. This shop has always been a part of our weekend routine, but quality like that makes me think twice. I’d love to see the consistency return to what it used to be.

I have been getting donuts at the East Sunshine Springfield location for years. Great donuts and awesome (friendly) service. It's my go to for donuts, for sure.

This happens too often. I often order 2 or 3 glazed donuts. The donuts in the front of the case are of reasonable size and are appealing. When I get home, fix some coffee and take the donuts from the bag, one or two of them are abnormally small or of poor quality. Hurts Donuts are comparably priced and are consistent in quality. I have patronized St. George’s for many years, but what you get for the high price is tempting me to change where I get my donuts. I would like to post a picture but do not see an option.

By far hands down the best place I have gotten donuts from in Springfield Mo. if you haven’t tried them yet I suggest you do. They have been around for a long time now and I hope they continue to stick around for many more years
Used to be great. They have gotten very skimpy with the ingredients. Apple fritter is just a fritter, 3 different visits, and Bavarian donuts

I got two glazed donuts and a "cherry" turnover and an "apple" turnover for $9.00+
The donuts and turnovers were very hard and very cold. There was NO "fruit" only filling type sauce in the turnovers. This place used to have excellent donuts and pastries. We threw away one of the donuts and half of each turnover.
