We waren rond 19.00 uur binnen. We konden snel bestellen, want er waren naar 3 andere tafels bezet. Aardige bediening, eten was ok. Maar al ruim 25 minuten voor sluiting werden tot aan onze tafel de stoelen al op de tafels gezet. Er werd gevraagd of we wilden betalen en een to go cup wilden hebben voor de milkshake. We werden echt weggejaagd.

Better than my hometown Steak n Shake food-wise and service-wise. Everything else was sub-par. Place was dirty and dingy. It needs a refresh. I like that it retains it's old school look, but it needs cleaned up. The bathroom is pretty bad here too. But I went there to eat, not hang out. I was very satisfied with the food and service.

All the employees were great but one stuck out it was Sarah she had to pick up her kids but she took our order her shift was supposed to end 35 minutes ago but our cast of 30 came in for opening night I feel really bad and I hope she can go home soon but she was very good and deserves a raise if you ever see her just know she is a super awesome queen.
We drove by about 9:00 on a Monday morning and it was like the Route 66 Gods shined upon us when we came out of the unseasonably warm rain and fog. We didn’t get the photos we wanted, we had the same problem other people have. Service truck parked in front, kitchen torn apart for service, difficult to shoot from across the street. It appears the best time to visit is at night, both for open hours and for what appears to be a spectacular neon show. The seating and interior are truly a Route 66 relic well preserved and certainly worth doing. We loved this place and it is one of the few existing restaurants that have survived the Interstate Highway System and are part of a renewed interest of Route 66. Driving the Route requires timing and could take months if you wanted to get inside all the businesses and see everything. For sure Springfield deserves a special amount of time as they have spent considerable time on their visitors center and preservation of the buildings.
