After a 25 minute wait in the drive thru (time after ordering, it was 12 minutes since I paid) and watching cars go around me where they had me parked, I had to request a refund. The food here is usually pretty good but leaving me sit with no service or expectation of how much longer I’ll be trapped just doesn’t work.The manager promptly provided my refund but appeared annoyed and provided an excuse for the poor service.

I almost never give reviews anymore but I gotta say, Steak n shake never disappoints! For $20 you can get two solid meals with milkshakes.... I mean that's cheaper then ANY other fast food place! The burgers are grilled up fresh to order and they just rock everytime. Add to that a friendly staff and its a no brainer!

Place was fairly empty but all the tables were full of trash. First booth they went to set us at had food and drink rings all over it. Got a dirty look when we stood up and moved . Found a clean table but chairs were covered with crumbs. With three tables they lost our order so we spent 50 minutes here for fast food. Burgers were ok fries were way too salty and mushy. This is the least amount of fries I had ever seen. The only steak and shake I will ever eat at again is the one at lake of the ozarks. The ones in Sedalia and Kansas City are just as dirty!
