Went for a celebratory meal for upcoming retirement. Things started off well, with drinks that were great, and a good appetizer. I ordered the KC strip steak, medium, and my companion ordered walleye. The restaurant had about 5 seated tables and didn't seem that busy, but it took a long time for the food to arrive. The waiter dropped by at one point to say the steak was resting, and should be ready in 5 minutes. About 10 minutes later, the food arrived and the steak was overcooked, as in well done. The steak was re-ordered (a mistake, in retrospect), and I began another long wait while my companion dined. The new steak came and was pink on the edges, but raw in the middle. To cut to the chase: I left this restaurant hungry. The most expensive item on the menu couldn't be prepared to order, and wasn't seasoned, to boot. The steak was removed from the check, so that was good, but overall it was a fail, and I left hungry.
Made our work trip to Springfield! Friendly and classy service, gourmet-level of food! The local beets & tomato salad with yogurt/pepitas sauce just restored my lost fate into American cousine. Also discovered crunchy mushrooms in ginger & sesame oil. The market fish & eggplants was at the French cousine level. Nebbiolo was very good as well. Overall- worth a trip to Springfield just to dine here! Thank you 🫶

The setting is wonderful, just the right mix of modern and local history. The food was excellent, the cocktail choices amazing, and service was good. Bread is sliced fresh at your table side. Limited choices on the menu, but each item we ordered was perfectly prepared. A very nice evening.
This experience was way above expectations from reading the reviews. We loved it. The service was impeccable. Madeleine our server was excellent. We had the Cashew Chicken and it was huge and to die for. Smoked Old Fashioned was delicious. Highly recommend. Beautiful bar. Not cheap but worth the money.
One of the best bars at one of the best hotels in Springfield. Have one of the signature drinks or a bottle of Champagne and enjoy the architecture before slipping across the street to the rooftop bar by the same owner.

If you don’t want to serve me and want to keep cleaning glasses in an empty bar/restaurant, just say so I and I can go elsewhere.
Jennifer is awesome and deserves a raise
Great atmosphere, service and menu! One of the best burgers I’ve had and our vegan family members loved their meals!
Came in with my service dog after being kicked out at black sheep up the block. Had a fantastic server Sam. Get the smash burger and bread de jour. Tonight it was corn bread and Aleppo butter. All killer
Classic hotel breakfast that’s overpriced and aok. Go across the street and it’s similar sadly.

Just Divine! I must go again ❤️Perfect
This is a really fantastic restaurant! I appreciate the use of local ingredients and the opportunity to eat foods that I might not usually order. It always excels and exceeds my expectations! Also, the drinks are unique (Pink Pony Club pictured) and for those Smoked Old Fashioned lovers, stop looking, they have the best in Springfield.
Amazing food, good atmosphere and service. I’m only making a review to point out the insane prices per pour of liquor, they have a lot of good options but you are going to pay 50-70% of the cost of the whole bottle for one pour! And that’s not just on allocated, but like every bottle they have
The atmosphere may be one of the best in Springfield. And the server did an amazing job. But the menu was extremely limited. There were only eight options for entrées and they were very expensive and had strange twist to them. We don’t mind paying 50 or $60 a plate, but we want it to be good and to have several options. You have to pay for the bread service And strangely they are like Nazis when it comes to changing out the sides that come with your entrée. They forbid switching out even a side dish from another entrée for your entrée. It’s really strange. I’m glad we had this restaurant, but I doubt we’ll be going back to it. Flame and char have more options.
It took 45 minuets to get our drinks. I paid $42 for two tiny pieces of walleye and hush puppies that were raw inside. Not happy with the experience.
