First Ward House is a lively restaurant with a big deck for sitting, karaoke, and live music. The staff, including the owner Ryan, are awesome and accommodating to all legal age groups. The service is smooth, and customers enjoyed the delicious wings. The restaurant has a massive patio with bags tables and outdoor couches, making it a cool place to hang out in St. Joseph. It is also known for serving the best pork tenderloin sandwich, and many menu items are named after Jesse James. The restaurant features an extensive selection of Boulevard beers on tap and specializes in wings and smoked meats. The original brick wall and bar still stand, adding to the historic and inviting ambiance. Despite some crowded nights, the vibes are good, and smoking is contained to the outdoor patio. It’s a great local spot with friendly staff and a lively atmosphere, perfect for enjoying good food and drinks in St. Joseph.
