I've never actually taken the chance to eat here. I have seen it soo busy it nearly has lines going out the door, indicating business is good. However when I was amongst the homeless population for a little while the owner of the place was ridiculously rude for no reason assuming because of appearance myself and a few aothers couldn't afford to eat there

This place is like stepping back into the old Route 66 days of a bygone era. Everything in this place is old and reminiscent of an era long forgotten. It works. It has a certain charm and non commercial aesthetic that appeals to those who are looking for the “real America” somewhere. This is a small piece of what remains of it.

Had the pastrami sandwich when I was there. Excellent. Not fancy or overdone or anything it wasn’t meant to be. Just a delicious sandwich made by people who have been doing it their whole lives. Come for the nostalgia. Stay for the food. You won’t be disappointed.

Cool historic spot with a stage for live music and great service. Food isn't anything to rave about but the cheesecake recipe is over 100 years old and is DELICIOUS.

Website doesn't work, can't order online. And don't even THINK ABOUT driving 45min to eat here. Cause they don't serve food after 3pm..?
WHO DOES THIS? What do they do? Serve beer!?

Decent little lunch spot, but for the price, the meat on the Ruben is a bit skimpy. Plus, their only side is a bag of chips. They can do better.

Intriguing little deli with an interesting history offering up decent sandwiches, though they felt just a bit overpriced. The location can be a little disturbing as it appears to stand in the middle of a war zone. Tweekers and crackheads linger in just about crevice and corner so keep your wits about you in this part of town that St Joseph forgot.

This was on our list of must visits when we were in St. Joseph. Hubby went there years ago. It was a wonderful late lunch treat. The owner is a cool guy and the cooks were fun to talk to while they did their thing. Best BBQ pulled pork ever and the turkey club was great. We'll definitely be back.

Best kept secret of Saint Joseph. Food was phenomenal, affordable, and made from scratch. The owner was friendly, jovial, and knew most of his patrons by name. What a lovely lunch ?

This place is such a gem! I deliver to the feel mill a couple blocks away and just happened to stumble onto this little place. Quiet and casual with interesting decor, has a pool table in the corner and live music some nights. They have an in-house deli making sandwiches on fresh breads. A nice change from truck stop food lol Cold beer, friendly staff and reasonable prices. What more could you want?
