Sotelo is the most authentic Mexican diner in St. Joseph. My wife ordered street tacos which were delectable. The carne asada is the best. I ordered the lunch fajita trio and the portions were very generous. Washing it all down with a Mexican Coca Cola was the proverbial icing on the cake.

The lady on here whining about the taco shells is lying. They don't even do hard shell tacos. I had the barbacoa, the carne asada & the el pastor. All delicious! My partner had the surf and turf enchiladas. He normally avoids eating the Mexican rice. He ate every bite of it. He loved it. We shared a sopapilla with strawberry ice cream. It was delicious too. The salsa was also authentic and delicious. We will definitely be back! Portions were appropriate and decently priced.

Here to work 3 weeks, obviously can't cook at the hotel, so I've been trying different places to eat and this takes 1st place in flavor. Don't care about price as long as food is good.
They didn't drain the meat when put on natcho bad bad dinner they should have replaced the food, didn't offer unbeatable food. Won't be back. Too much money for food we couldn't eat. No way will we go back. Talked to others that have been there they won't go back. We've been there 3 times hopping it would get better, but hot worse.

Excellent authentic Mexican food ...no fried flour tortillas served as chips here. Real tamales do not have sauce them. Just like my abuela used to cook. Excellent prices for excellent food.
