Amighetti's Reviews
We love their loaded sub! I raved about it so much that my husband decided to try it, which is completely out of the norm. Now, we travel from about 20 miles away just for these great sandwiches! I should tell you I'm not a huge sandwich fan, so this says a lot. The bagels are fantastic also, and I am a very particular about needing chewy bagels. The carrot cake cheesecake was also excellent, but it truly is not cheesecake. it is simply carrot cake but it's very good!
Sandwiches are delicious BUT poor service…..never got acknowledged, after waiting five minutes spoke up and they were very rude, claimed they were short handed but I was one of 3 customers in there at the time. So I left and went somewhere else. Won’t be back.
Great sandwiches and soups

Amighetti's offers delicious food with a standout being the Little Bit of Italy sandwich and the Amighetti's Special. The restaurant prioritizes cleanliness and freshness, providing excellent salad dressing. They have a variety of bagels, including blueberry, garlic, cinnamon raisin, and jalapeños with cheddar, all complemented by interesting dill cream cheese. Both dine-in and carryout options are available, with ample parking, though some customers noted street parking. The establishment seems wheelchair accessible.
The Meatball 1/2 sandwich and lasagna are both good, with the lasagna being super cheesy and excellent in taste. The loaded special sandwich with pepper jack cheese is delicious and fairly priced. The ham special on garlic bread is also awesome and was made just as ordered. Some items like the Tomato bisque may not meet expectations, but classics like the toasted ravioli and garlic bread hit the spot, though they could be crispier or more flavorful.
Service is good, though orders may take a while, especially with fewer staff present. The labeling method for takeaway sandwiches can be confusing, but the food remains a must-try. Big Poppa, who delivers to cars, was noted as a friendly staff member. With plenty of seating inside and outside, plus curbside pickup, it’s a great place for lunch and a St. Louis classic.
