Out of food just 1 hour after opening, not acceptable.

This isn’t an Au Bon Pain. It’s just a kiosk with pre-packaged cookies and bad coffee.

I was not able to eat breakfast here. This location will not open to the public if there is a convention booked. My family walked over from the Hyatt (close to 10 minutes) for breakfast only to find out you can’t eat here if there is a convention. Don’t waste your time! Even if Google says they’re open that may not be the case.

Great location to chill, eat some good food. Looking forward to returning with my friends. I can see why they have a lot of great reviews.

The food and coffee are great, though there's not a wide selection of food, and not very gluten-free friendly. The staff were extremely kind and helpful.

Wanted to buy a sandwich for my wife at the same time I bought myself a sandwich at an event a week ago at Au Bon Pain. I couldn't, because they put condiments on the sandwich for you!. So I wanted to let the manager know it would be preferred to not have condiments pre-applied to the sandwich. I suggested any condiments be available separately, as needed, so you don't waste them either. The manager gave me this look like he didn't give a crap about what I suggested, like I was crazy. With almost 20,000 people at the event, he probably thought he would sell his sandwiches one way or another and didn't give a hoot what I said. Then he just walked away. Very rude. Not customer focused. How he got into the food business I'll never know. He needs a new job somewhere else.
Au Bon Pain (or ABP as my friends put it) was a great quick alternative to the long lines at starbucks across the street for the conference I was at in St. Louis. It is located within the America's Center convention center. It was clean, quick and had several different pastries and sandwich items without a long line, which is a relief during a conference when lines to every restaurant are out the door. However, I'm a coffee snob. The coffee here was a little more roasted than starbucks, which is already pretty over-roasted. Also, it's mainly just some drip coffee in large canisters for you to pour out. So unfortunately, nothing that stood out. However, the service and quick lines made me quickly forgive those things.
