Hands down incredible services and food. It’s clear the chef and his team take a lot of time to plan and execute every detail and every flavor. Our server was INCREDIBLE, she was attentive caring and make amazing recommendations. We became members and are absolutely fans of the staff. Best date dinner place ! Forever

I don't know, maybe this just isn't my thing but $400 for salty food (a couple of the dishes), weird extra charges on your bill, over priced drinks, wobbly chair, I could have had 4 better meals and been full from every one. I'm home now rooting around in the pantry for something to eat.

Our romantic evening started with a complimentary glass of champagne and an amuse-bouche that set the tone for the rest of the meal. We opted for the 10 course dining experience and we were totally happy that we did. The chef provided a true dining experience. Each course complimented the other. The chef even made me like brussel sprouts. I have never experienced exotic meats but now I can say I enjoy kangaroo and elk from Blood & Sand. The beef cheeks poutine was my favorite. The beef was so tender and flavorful. So warm and comforting. I can image myself sitting on my comfy sofa with my jammies on, wrapped in my favorite quilt, eatting a bowl full of beef cheeks poutine while watching my favorite movie. I would keep praising each dish and I could but just know that you could not go wrong with anything you choose from the menu. If I had to provide a con it would be something insignificant as portion size. But once again that is a pro in my book. We were provided with a hefty portion with each course. We did not leave there hungry. Our taste buds wanted more but our tummies were at full capacity. Chris, our waiter, provided excellent service and explained each dish and provided recommendations based on his experiences with the menu. Chris treated us like we were the only ones in the restaurant. Very personal service. We will be going back.

Whew! Once again, Blood and Sand delivers. We grabbed some apps off the a la carte menu and of course cocktails before a dinner reservation. Let me tell you, this place is incredible. We were the only people in there and were treated as royalty. The tater tots are one of the most delicate, delectable foods I have ever tasted. The outside is fried to crispy perfection with the inside being light and smooth. Paired with the aioli, this is a match made in heaven. We also got the kangaroo tartare because we were feeling exploratory. The baguette it came with was both crispy and chewy, absolutely incredible. The kangaroo itself was certainly interesting. I am glad I tried it. There was an interesting gaminess(I liked, my partner did not) and along with the quail egg and capers it was a treat. Compliments of the chef we also got an incredible bacon salad to taste. It was crispy and acidic. I must admit, an unlikely pairing for bacon, but they certainly executed. Of course, the cocktails, as always, are up there with the best of them. I got a Big Poppa which is a bourbon and mezcal drink. Two of my favorite things combined into one, how could I say no? It was wonderfully balanced. The drink was not over powered either spirit, and still served as being both light and refreshing, it almost gave off tiki vibes despite not having rum. A shock to me when I received it, albeit, pleasant. My partner got a Limon y sal. Let me tell you, this is going on my list of top cocktails I have ever tasted. The kiwi syrup paired with the tequila and plum wine was phenomenal. The perfect punch of sweetness, offset by the earthy flavor of the agave. That is a cocktail I could drink all day. The last cocktail we shared was one inspired by Kid Cudi, and an original of the bartender. A gin based cocktail with hibiscus. Much more on the earthy this cocktail once again exceeded all expectations. Nice and frothy from the egg white, the hibiscus perfectly balanced out the sweetness. Not to mention, the bitters atop the froth was a beautiful and delicate touch. It was my partner's birthday and the bartender hooked us up. He gave us each a bit of pineapple amaro. And, after some conversation he even made us an experimental cocktail for their summer menu on the house. It was fantastic. We were transported straight to the beach. The glassware was an amazing glass tiki mug. The drink had notes of pineapple with the funkiness of the rum. He says he is still perfecting it, but I like it as is. My partner and I both very much appreciate the hospitality shown to us by Blood and Sand this evening. We have been multiple times, but we both agreed we need to get back soon for the full 5 course dinner.

Great bar, great food with varied and unique food choices always exceptionally done and exceptional service. Never rushed for your table and friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended by my wife and I. A great place for friends or a romantic dinner for two!

Celebrated our 1 year anniversary arriving to small revolving door entrance. From the entrance, it's a rustic design feel. you can see the bar is done up well with floor to ceiling bottles and design. There are two full booths facing the window, however our table were against the windows which were very drafty at 44 degrees. The server was very nice, but lacked enthusiasm. The lobster bisque was tasty but cold, the Rockefeller oysters were nice but were salty. The place is noisy with competing conversations. Beignets were perfect, along with drinks, which were magnificent.( Empire state of mind & Big red). No hype here, I say the experience was nice but my expectations might have been overrated.

Service was terrific. The food was good. I wasn't a fan of the atmosphere but may have been because we were seated near the bar. The bartender and staff were hanging out and drinking together and it was distracting and seemed unprofessional. I think it slowed service as well.

I read so much about Blood & Sand I had to try it on my trip to St Louis. The restaurant is beautiful and the 5 course tasting menu is the best way to have a little of all the amazing food they create. I added the wine pairing for my 5 course and the wine elevates each plate.

Beautiful environment, I would recommend going on a standard night and not when they are offering a specialty menu (I.e. Valentines Day or New Years). Some of the specialty menu items are hit and miss, the standard menu is much better!

What an amazing experience! Great service, food and drinks galore! Only thing we had this weird table next to us complaining about some elk or something. Our vibe wasn't crushed due to our waitress, Nicole, for the win. Everything we had was excellent. Blood & Sand = Rock N Roll.

Amazing experience. Incredible staff and food was incredible. So unfortunate the table next to us was complaining about the elk on the menu? Comparing it to a red stag they supposedly hunted and claimed the meet served didn't look like elk meet. The man actually brought his plate back to the kitchen himself and asked our waitress if she wanted to come to his house "for the real meet". The disrespect some people have is unbelievable. Hope they will no longer be allowed back. Anyway, you should go here and experience the amazing ambiance and food. You won't be disappointed.

I don't even know where to start. To begin with, this last minute reservation for 4 the weekend after Valentines day for my brother's birthday would never have been possible if it weren't for the above and beyond hospitality I received from Nicole starting from the moment I called to ask about a custom tasting menu.Nicole made the impossible happen for my group and truly facilitated a once in a lifetime experience for my brother's 30th.The wine selection was impeccable, with rare wines as a sommelier myself I had never had the opportunity to try before. Their Somm was an old school, deeply knowledgeable gentleman who guided us through the extensive menu with ease.We had a selection from their spectacular cocktail menu, all delicious and creative. (I wish I'd gotten to try more)Every course, hand selected based on my brother's tastes and preferences (I can still hardly believe it) came out perfectly timed and marked, and were presented and tasted spectacular.I have had dozens, if not hundreds of fine dining experiences, and facilitated more as an industry pro myself, and Blood and Sand went above and beyond my every expectation. If you are looking for a special occasion restaurant in St Louis, stop looking and call Jessica. Your search has come to an end.St Louis does not yet have a Michelin Guide, but I expect that when they finally do, we will be hearing about Blood and Sand.

We live in the area and visit Blood and Sand several times a year. Their food is always inventive and delicious. We have been to a few of their special events featuring spirits or wines paired with culinary courses and they are wonderful. The chef changes the menu to keep things fresh. We recently had the Baby Gem Salad with a honey-szechwan peppercorn vinaigrette and the Poutine. Both were fabulous. Our servers were kind, informative and the perfect amount of friendly.
