We've been enjoying Bluewood for years and I've never gotten around to writing a review. Bluewood is, hands down, one of my favorite places in STL. The vibe/atmosphere is impeccable (especially when decorated for the Holidays), the beer, of course, is phenomenal (and such range, all the way from light, crisp, and tasty to the thickest, richest barrel aged stouts and barley wines I've ever had), and the food is always tasty. Was there for the Women’s Walk Pop Up event. Had amazing chicken strips and fries. Chicken was tender, the breading crispy even after it was tossed in sauce. Absolutely delicious.
Didn’t think this was my kind of place but I was wrong. The staff was superb and helpful. The drinks were great. Very much liked the hummus. I’m always on the hunt for good chicken tenders and these pass the test. Very good sauces.
