I lived in STL for 3 years and this is the best food I had while living there. I cannot stress to you enough how good the chicken is. The beans and rice were divine. The pork fried rice was insane. Whoever is in their kitchen deserves a serious look at some kind of award, hell the whole restaurant does. We've eaten at this charming little spot twice and it's now one of our favorite restaurants in St. Louis. The roasted chicken is incredible, among the best we've ever had. If someone in your party doesn't like bone-in chicken (oh, what they're missing!) there's the aji amarillo chicken curry which is boneless and excellent, as is the ceviche (their sister restaurant Jalea specializes in it), the papa rellena and the sides esp potatoes.

Incredibly, the food for 3 people came out in less than 20 minutes, and our server, Ben B, was very accommodating! I had never had fried plantains before but they were very good.
