What a cute gem in Maplewood! i don’t know much about wine, but i told Brian, the owner, what i liked and he introduced me to some wines and vintners I didn’t know about and liked very much!He is passionate about small wineries and wine makers who are also really passionate about their craft. It’s a very chill place, and they do an occasional wine school and pairings. I’ll definitely be back!

We drove out here to hang out and drink wine with our dogs. Despite google saying they’re open it was pitch black.

If I could give this place less than 1 star, I would. Unfortunately, that is not an option. My girlfriend and I rarely have date nights to ourselves due to life and work and such, so we were looking forward to trying this establishment out for a quiet and relaxing evening of wine, laughs, a little food, and good conversation. The owner began asking about our relationship, inquiring regarding very personal information and it made us feel very uncomfortable. We asked for a few samples (3 small samples, to be exact), and after the second sample that my girlfriend asked for, the owner proceeded to curse at her (jokingly, it seemed), calling her a “f****** b****.” It caught both of us off-guard and, although I did not immediately respond as I should have, 2 minutes later we both decided to get up and leave. I let him know the reasons and, although he apologized, it seemed he was a bit confused as to why we were leaving still.I am not sure if this is how all customers are treated, and I do realize that there is some comfort in being familiar with and getting to know your customers a bit, but the experience we had at Chateau was unprofessional at the least and appalling at the most.We will not be back.

Our group came here for a bachelorette party and it was a great time! We loved hearing about the sustainability of the wine. For sure asking for Peter to learn about some great wine.
Not very interesting selection of wines, below average quality. They advertise a free wine tasting on Saturdays in the menu but the waiter said he wasn't doing it today. Feels like he was just too lazy. He gave the guys in our group bunch of attitude, but the one girl got a nice smile. Really sexist and gross.Got a flight with a average Sav Blanc, a pretty plain Rose, and the worst Gewurztraminer I've ever tasted. It almost tasted corked. Very silty and sour. The waiter said that's how their's is, but that's not what the wine is supposed to be.The best part with the Charcuterie board. Good selections of chess and they were good quality.Trying to pay and leave took forever. The waiter kept leaving to go into the back for long periods of time and when he was out in the seating area he was sort of wandering around, talking to tables and not doing much. It got busy, but only after we were ready to pay for 20 minutes.Overall disappointing and would not recommend.

I love this place and come here often. Only weird thing- the last time I went with a friend, it was just the two of us girls in the restaurant. It was so quiet- no music. The bartender just stared at us and laughed at our jokes throughout. Very weird experience feeling like someone was listening in the whole time.
Cute wine shop /bar. Free tastings on Saturdays and we always stay and buy a bottle to share after!

A great place to visit! My wife and I love stopping in for a glass, flight, or bottle(s). Great small-plate food options as well.

Great wine selection. Great intimate environment. Owners are lovely and Chef Ken Foland super talented. We had a wonderful evening! If you haven’t been just to pick up some wine or have lunch or dinner…go! You won’t be sorry.
