Cones + Cups

I forgot to take more pictures of the food and place, but I thought it was a pretty decent ice cream shop. I got the lemon chiffon: the flavor was fine, and it was actually quite lemon-y, but the texture wasn't as soft as I would've liked in ice cream. My friends and I met the owner and his wife, and she makes all the ice cream! They were also really kind and kept conversation with us :)

I wanted something sweet after dinner at The Drawing Board. Didn't want ice cream because it was cold outside. Saw on Yelp this place has brownies and cookies and it was on the way home. Happy to find this place. We could tell they use high quality ingredients. The brownie was really chocolatey and moist. Cookie wasn't moist but it wasn't hard or dry. It was perfect. I've walked by this Benton Park neighborhood spot so many times but only recently tried it out. The outside is unassuming so I was surprised to find that they have a massive patio and a medium sized selection of dairy and non-dairy ice creams! I love that they post their current flavors on their Facebook page so you know what you're getting into. I tried the pumpkin cheesecake (exceptional!) and the Nutella (pretty good).
