It’s sad in 2023 business owners don’t greet their patrons and seemingly don't train their staff to do so either! I just read other reviews and this may be the norm! My family and I really wanted to try this ice cream shop but with the absent greeting and unwelcomeness we decided to leave!! This is a mom and pop you really should do better!! I could’ve went to Andy’s but I wanted to support a local business.

I forgot to take more pictures of the food and place, but I thought it was a pretty decent ice cream shop. I got the lemon chiffon: the flavor was fine, and it was actually quite lemon-y, but the texture wasn't as soft as I would've liked in ice cream. My friends and I met the owner and his wife, and she makes all the ice cream! They were also really kind and kept conversation with us :)

I wanted something sweet after dinner at The Drawing Board. Didn't want ice cream because it was cold outside. Saw on Yelp this place has brownies and cookies and it was on the way home. Happy to find this place. We could tell they use high quality ingredients. The brownie was really chocolatey and moist. Cookie wasn't moist but it wasn't hard or dry. It was perfect. The brownie was $2.75 and the Cookie $1.75. Decent size portions. When it's warm we want to return for the patio to try the ice cream!

I've walked by this Benton Park neighborhood spot so many times but only recently tried it out. The outside is unassuming so I was surprised to find that they have a massive patio and a medium sized selection of dairy and non-dairy ice creams! I love that they post their current flavors on their Facebook page so you know what you're getting into. I tried the pumpkin cheesecake (exceptional!) and the Nutella (pretty good). The waffle cones fast homemade and the girls checking us out were helpful and sweet. An overlooked gem!

This is such a find! Really great ice cream, fantastic customer service and the most adorable patio to sit and enjoy the treats! 10/10!

This is a very good option for anyone nondairy as they had lots of options. The ice cream was pretty good but nothing standout. I think the strawberry cheesecake was the best among the flavors I tried but neat little place. Maple walnut non dairy probably would have been the runner up for me. Staff was nice and prices were good for what I got I felt.

Charming with yummy ice cream. Especially appreciate the non-dairy flavors!

The ice cream was yummy! I liked the butterfinger flavor of the day! The employee serving us may have been new and seemed unsure of giving us samples, but her trainer was nice and showed us where there patio was. The outdoor patio was cute and would be nice to sit at on a cooler day. They have vegan options, so that's always a plus! The location is in a cute area and close to Lona's Lil Eats so a great location for an after lunch treat!

Delicious selection of ice cream including a good selection of dairy free ice cream.

I had 12 flavors to choose from, 3 non dairy and 9 dairy. I chose snickers and pistachio. Excellent ice cream. Was there around 4 on a Sunday afternoon with no waiting. More costumers came in after us. Would like to go back and try some other flavors.

Visited about a week ago. I don't want to say anything negative about the staff, because they were very young and untrained...but that's also the reason for the low rating. Staff didn't speak a word to us, nor smile, and it was very uncomfortable the entire time. They seemed almost like deer in headlights, and didn't seem like they had been given the necessary training to be able to help customers nor how to make them feel welcome. It's possible they are just hiring new people for the summer season, I don't know. I have been in that situation as a teenager so I can certainly empathise, and it's not their fault but the owner's.The offerings are also pretty limited, which is fine for a small neighborhood ice cream place, just don't expect too much. Serving size was pretty small but the price was also reasonable so you could get a double order I guess if you want more. The reason I give this place two stars is because the ice cream was very good, perfect taste and texture. I was shocked by that actually, but it's true. Just don't expect anything more than good-tasting ice cream.

Let’s talk about this place, first off, the hours are very limited and their sign doesn’t match their hours? Assuming maybe winter hours still are in effect? The ice cream portions are SAD for a small it was literally 2 tablespoons worth and when I asked to try one, the girl said no we’re not doing samples right now. (I mean, it’s an ice cream place, what the heck). The few bites of chocolate that I had was very delicious. And my husbands heath was also good.

This ice cream is something special. Some unique flavor combinations with varieties changing frequently. Always delightfully warm service. A regular stop in for me, Benton Park is lucky to have a gem of an ice cream parlor like this in the neighborhood.
