What an amazing evening. Everything about the meal was wonderful. Each course was absolutely creative, with incredible layering of flavors and textures. It hit all the boxes-delicious, interesting, and everything was beautiful to look at as well. The service and explanations were warm, informal and edifying. Each dish was served on beautiful dishes made for the item being served. This is a very special dining experience.
This was a great experience! The room was completely private and had a great ambiance. The other diners for the evening were wonderful and we had a great time enjoying the experience together. The food was amazing. Every course paired so well with the wine pairing offered. Towards the end I couldn't finish everything but I definitely tried to. The end of meal was suckling pig with accompaniments served family style. It was delicious. So tender and perfect. There was tier 1 and tier 2 wine pairing options. We did tier 1 and all the wines were amazing....and were very deep pours. Well worth it. I would highly recommend this for a couple or a group. This was a really fun and absolutely delicious dining experience. I can't wait to go again and take my sister when she is in town.
My husband and I came here for my birthday celebration and it was worth every penny! We love Gerard Craft's restaurants and have loved every single one of them (including Niche, now Sardella). Dia's room did not disappoint. Every food that came out was delicious and so intricately flavored. I was happy that the cheese bread was one of the course items because I was actually considering on ordering it at Cinder House (main restaurant) after Dia's room was over. I also appreciated that the feijoada was tweaked with foie gras and peaches for Dia's room compared to the more traditional one served at Cinder House. I really loved the grilled peaches on the feijoada!! I have always found feijoada to be on the heavier side no matter where I eat it and I always like the side of oranges in the dish. But now I have a new found love for peaches on the side! Another favorite item was the "jello shot." It's definitely not called that, but it was essentially a chewable Caipirinha. The courses really reminded me of Niche and how I felt when I had their tasting menu for the first time years ago. The concept of sitting at a long table with 10 people was great. Although I got really lucky with the people who happened to dine with us that evening, I can see how a dull group of people could really affect the dinner experience. There's not enough word count space for me to write about everything I loved about my experience. Dia's room is now in my top 5 "special occasion places" in St. Louis. If you're a foodie and love to try new things, I would highly recommend Dia's room!
