I don’t think I have ever given an internet review. Simply put, my boyfriend and I were just confused by this restaurant. Came in on Friday at about 7:55pm. The restaurant was pretty empty. We were met by a very enthusiastic host. We hadn’t even been sitting for more than 3 minutes when our very energetic/sweet server came over and asked us what we wanted. It was like Rapid-Fire order time. We asked for time to review the menu. After some drink + food suggestions that seemed a bit pushy, I agreed to get the suggested drink and then asked (for a second time) for a minute to review the menu. After some time, we ordered, everything was great until we realized it had been 40 mins since we ordered food (drinks were quick to be fair). Not a huge deal. Once our food came we had about 10 actual minutes of eating time. Boyfriend asked for ranch for his pile of fries - about half of those 10 mins just to get that. We finally get ranch, server asks if we’re ready for our check. Huh? Bf gets up to use bathroom a couple mins before host comes up and grabs his plate FULL of fries, and takes it before I realize that my bf didn’t even get a chance to eat his fries. A few mins later boyfriend is back and sees his plate is missing, he calls over our server to let her know and she says “oh yeah he must’ve taken it back, I’m sorry, he’s slow.” Then proceeded to stare down my bf until he asked if he could get back the fries he was paying for. She didn’t offer - he had to ask. So anyway, we get our fries and our check, boyfriend is signing the check as our server is standing over our table watching him fill out the entire thing. It was very odd behavior. Very poorly mannered service. Food was great at least. I have zero desire to go back unfortunately.

Management is probably very poor based on the number of other poor reviews I read. Truly, good luck to this restaurant and its management! It has so much potential but definitely needs to be polished.

Took 20 minutes to order. Took 40 more to get our food. It was delicious. I will say they were short staffed.

Solo night staying at Moonrise holel and enjoyed the Eclipse restaurant. Love the swanky vibe and atmosphere. Food is just ok, but the asthetic sort of make the food not that important

Traveling thru me & my boyfriend decided to stop in for some dinner. Our waitress was nice as can be along with the host. That’s where the good experience ended. My boyfriend’s “double baked potato” come out still frozen in the middle able to bang it off the table. I got the wings the sauce was fine but there was so much breading i couldn’t cut it with a knife. Waste of time & money

Eclipse at the Moonrise Hotel offers a wonderful bar ambience with nice seating and a fully stocked bar. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're somewhere interesting, and the vibe is fantastic. Every server I interacted with was extremely pleasant and attentive. However, the experience was marred by over a half-hour wait for our drinks, and when they finally arrived, the order was wrong. These issues with service might deter me from returning, but the overall experience was still enjoyable.

Cute spot. Staff seemed disinterested, but almost friendly. Food was not appropriately priced.

We came to celebrate my friends birthday. Service was bad. The waiter was unprepared and clueless, he never even told us his name. They were out of stock of a lot of things: chicken wings, flatbread, mint, the list went on as the night did. One drink had hair in it, another alcoholic beverage was prepared with no alcohol. The food was ok, most complaints were about the lack of seasoning & the way the drinks were charged was weird. They charge you separately for the alcohol and another charge for the juice. Some in the group were even billed for alcohol, the juice & “martini” even though the drinks were the same. We made the best of the experience but I swear the whole staff was high. The restaurant is really cute & the bartender tried to make up for the experience by giving us a free shot. The other star is for her. 1/10 do not recommend.

I can't believe this place is rated under 4 stars, because we couldn't have had a better experience here. The good was fresh and delicious and of great quality. The parmasean french fries were a highlight! We had great service too. I don't think that it is overpriced, but maybe I'm unfamiliar with usual Missouri prices? Regardless, it was of quality we would expect from a nicer hotel restaurant, obviously not a Ritz, but it wasn't priced that way either. I would definitely recommend coming here if you are staying at the Moonrise or seeing a show at the Pageant.

She chased after us! Our meal was genuinely very bad, but the service was even worse. My partner and I both work service jobs and it is tip based. We understand hard days, a bad shift, complicated situation. But this was absolutely the worse we've had.We spent about three weeks getting ready for this trip, we thought the restaurant would be really cool. We knew what we wanted when we got there. We called about three times, never got through in about two weeks, went on to the app, used it going forward. The place would be cooler if them went into more of a space theme with it all over and not just like a display case but other than that, vibe was good.We get there, server comes to the table. We order drinks, app and meal at one time. We put in we were celebrating our engagement on the reservation. I see the host write it for her and leave the note on the table. She says absolutely nothing about it. Our drinks come, missing ice. She doesn't bring them. We get our bar menu drinks from the bar tender, she's no where around. (Those Drinks are fine.) Bread comes to the table, not our server. Hard, cold and stale. The butter was frozen. We thought, okay, no problem. We will just ask for more. She doesn't come back.Refills, not by her but the host. We say thank you, he says nothing. We go to ask for our server, he just walks off. We think maybe he didn't hear us. It happened again. We think okay, maybe there's a parry here we don't see. Maybe there's a problem and we can just ride it out.Our app comes, calamari. It taste bad. Like, it taste like fried bread but like in burned grease. We get sweet and sour sauce, not marinara. It was okay. We used lemon to make it good enough. We didn't see her again until our dinner is brought to the table. We order steak, it's cooked wrong and manily fat. I had mashed potatoes, they were cold and tasted like plaudough and garlic. The steak in the salad was all.fatty. missing pieces in the salad. No dressing. She says nothing and walks away. Our patience is waring at this point.Host comes, refill us but over fills the glass and we go Oh! Woe! But he says NOTHING and LEAVES we pat it with the pur napkins, we are looking for help. The table next to us gives us their napkins. We get up go to the bar and asl for our waitress l. The bar tender says okay. Nodes and turns around, we sit down and watch the clock. 23 minutes go by before we see our server. We give her the card. And see her go to a table that just sat down. For 18 minutes! We pay, we leave. But we don't tip.We leave the restaurant and go up the rainbow stairs and our server RUNS UP THE STEPS AFTER US! she says "can I ask you something? Was there something wrong with your service?" We look at each other shocked because we wouldnever! we are calm and say we'll yeah. We explain X Y Z on the issue. And she nodded and says "okay. Are you staying here at thehotel. Not thinking we answer honesrly and say yes she just turns away.We were shocked. How was this even allowed? Where thMangerr.

I was staying at the Moonrise with my girlfriend and we tried ordering room service friday night. They were busy and we had issues ordering from our room and had to go to the bar in the restaurant to place our order. The food really was not show stopping and wasn’t worth what they are charging. If you’re staying at the moonrise, I’d recommend walking to a nearby restaurant instead of eating here.

Food is very expensive for the quality. They didn't have any daily specials and a lot of their menu wasn't available for a Saturday...I ordered the salmon and it came half raw and had to send it back. The chicken parmesan was decent but I don't know of it was $27 good. Service was alright but our table was small and they didn't clear away our appetizer plate once we were done.. in all mid experience but not worth it for the bill
