If you're looking for something different, this is it.
This is the most authentic Mexican/Honduras/Salvadorian food I've ever had, including the restaurants in Mexico I've been to.
My first clue was the waitress didn't speak English, but that's ok, we were able to communicate and she guided me to the Baleada Especial. Think Quesadilla with less cheese and more meat and vegetables and guacamole instead. It was really good. My son ordered Pescado Frito con Tojadas, which got the prize. When it arrived, we both started laughing out loud. The fish was actually a fish. He asked, "What do I do?" I laughed and said, "Figure it out!"...and he did. He loved it...the people at the next table looked over because he kept getting louder with his Mmmmmm's. His platter came with guacamole and fried plantains. If you've never had plantains, imagine the love child of a banana and a French fry. They're really good.
They have real horchata...not the watered down stuff like most places sell, if those places have it at all. This is authentic horchata. It's like a milky, rice and cinnamon drink. I love it.

Give it a shot, we had a lot of fun here.

I would like to give my opinion regarding the food
We have ordered food to take home but
The pupusas are very good, you can see that that is their main dish...but what Honduran food is is bad, their slice cuts are very thick, they almost put the whole banana in and the meat has no flavor, it is simple and everything feels overheated..

I love the food here and everyone is very nice. The parking is a little limited but overall I always have a great experience. My husband, who is Mexican, says the food is pretty authentic and gives it two thumbs up!

We were recommended this from an el Salvadorian friend. Got here, and it is a small hole in the wall place, which i love. we ordered a few things including the yuca and chicharone. I know I butchered that spelling. I had some sort of Salvadorian steak and an al pastor taco as well as some horchata. Everything tasted good. I was very impressed with the al pastor as it had so much flavor. Oh my co worker got the papusa which i have had home made and my god these were very good. Overall a pretty solid place definitely recommend trying this place out for some new variety of hispanic food.

This is a hole in the wall place, but they definitely had food that was outstanding. We went here because we saw they had pupussas. My wife and I have both been to El Salvador and love these local staples. We saw this restaurant had them so we went. We were not disappointed. They were very big and good, we both prefe the flour to the corn but to find them anywhere is a bonus (they did not have flour only corn).
My wife got the fish tacos, and again, they were huge and super good. She could not finish them and brought two of the three home for later.
I got the Pollo burrito very flavorful, and again, I could not eat it all and had to bring half of it home.
Their salsa was very good, a little watery but very good. I ate a ton of it on everything.
We would go back again but get less pupussas or split a meal. If you want to try other countries' foods, I recommend this place. We have not found another good place in St Louis for El Salvador food. Until then, this is where we will go.

While this place was not perfect, I would definitely come back for more good food.

I was brought out a basket of thick and delightfully not over-salted tortilla chips and two sauces, with my mango drink (delicious!). The red sauce was full of cilantro (gag me), although I would've guessed that for the green sauce. Green sauce was totally amazing and they were both equally spicy.

My two pupusas were very good. I got chicharron (pork) and cheese and one with cheese and loroco. Well, that's what I ordered, anyway. What I ended up was chicharron and cheese and one with chicharron, beans and cheese. But that was OK. They were both good with plenty of filling and crispy on the edges.

The place is bigger than I thought it would be, had about five or six booths and about 10 to 12 tables of various sizes. Nothing fancy inside, but It is clean and bright, and it smelled heavenly when I walked in.

Good: Delicious food smells when you walk in. Fun music playing, but not too loud. The pupusas were big with plenty of filling and cheese. Mango drink was great. Oh, and those two things plus the basket of chips was only $10.26. Deal!!

Bad, or at least not great: Seemed to take a long time to get my food. There were two or three other tables full of old lunch dishes that hadn't been cleared. I didn't particularly care, but someone else might find that offensive. Also, they got my order wrong, but maybe I didn't speak clearly or loud enough - I wasn't too upset, I just wanted to check the place out.

All in all, I would definitely go back and try some of their other goodies including trying to order, again, a cheese and loroco pupusa. ?
