A absolutely amazing experience. The atmosphere is a vibe, bartenders are attentive and personable. I had the bloody mary and red beans and rice (a hug in a bowl).

So much fun! Good atmosphere, yummy food and drinks! We had a group of 6 and made a reservation gor the Sunday brunch. Miss Jubilee and the Yas Yas boys entertained with fun music from a bygone era!

I give it a 2/10. Took 30min for an appetizer and only arrived after I reminded the server. We were told at the time of booking reservation that music started at 7 (our main reason for booking… it is 8:10 now and nothing). The musicians are drinking but not playing. The shrimp and grits were bland and shrimp gummy. My husband steak was nothing to write home about and potatoes were cold. I had to ask for our plates to be removed and the server never inquired as to why I didn’t eat my entree. The only positive was the drinks. The drink menu is very nice and drinks potent. I would only recommend for late night music and drinks.

Food and service was excellent and the jazz band was excellent as well!

A real gem! Grab some Louisiana fare and try to catch a band to increase the fun.

Unbelievable. First, the food was fantastic and the saxophone player was awesome. Now - the waiter was unbelievably bad. Sure, there was only one other server, but he really couldn’t have made more errors on orders, timing or the bill. The billing errors took at least 25 minutes to clear up. I’m 56 years old and have never seen such a mess in a restaurant. Couldn’t wait for it to be over.

On the day I went, a jazz quartet played, and I was able to hear better music than the jazz bar I waited two hours for in New York. The play time is long, the sound value is good, and the sound is loud enough.
For food, I ordered a shrimp sandwich with beer, and although the raw onion and butter were strong, it was delicious.
However, there were only 4 to 6 tables of customers, the piano had its back to the customers so they could not see the piano playing, the customers were eating and talking rather than concentrating on the performance, and so the customers were guided to the back rather than in front of the performer. I think it would be a shame from the artist's perspective.
It was like a gift to me before leaving the United States. There is no separate music fee. I would go here even if I only had $20 in my pocket. It was great to enjoy jazz alone.

Been here 3 time amazing atmosphere but Food is bleh from undercooked rice to very sour risotto. And charged us for a plate no one ordered. Even told us it will still be on the ticket after asking if anyone ordered it.

called a reservation said they can’t do more than 10 but will do 6 plus on a Thursday night. get here and it’s empty. Asked a simple request of getting all then special drinks on one tab vs food ticket so I can treat my family but embarrassed when she decided to put it on everyone’s tab. and she agreed to put the drinks on a separate tab. Would have been okay with her being outright honest saying she can only do 2 tabes vs lie to me and say 3. 2 for food 1 for drinks.

Good Cajun style dishes, ie, red beans and rice, crayfish etouffee, among others. Delightful Cajun appetizers. Regular live music from mid 19th century. Great wait staff.

We came with a party of 7 for Evangeline's Bistro and Music House. Food was great, service was great. I had the 'Who Dat' burger which came with a red pickle (never had that before). This restaurant is a New Orleans style food and atmosphere. If you are looking for New Orleans style food and music come to Evangeline's. The music group was here tonight the MudHound they played Southern style blues. Overall this restaurant is a mixture of fine dining and a fun night out. Casual attire is worn. Next time I'm in the mood for Southern New Orleans style food, I will definitely be coming here. The reason it's only four stars and not five is some people in our party. Food was room temperature and not warm. Mine was fine. Most of the dishes were fine, but some of us experienced room temperature food perhaps due to the large party and they wanted to bring everything out at once. But still they need to do better at making sure everyone's food is at least warm
