I absolutely loved coming here. The music was phenomenal, and everything we ate was beyond delicious. I loved the atmosphere and how friendly the staff were.
Not sure what's up with the customer service. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile now, and when I called to make a reservation the person who answered kept saying I had static and he couldn't hear me. I called 2 more times and he kept saying the same thing then hung up on me. It was something off about the mannerism. When I called other places my line was just fine, so I'm wondering if he was lying. It was just weird. Forget it Ill go somewhere else. Customer service is really important
Ate Cajun before Muny, excellent food with live jazz
Staff is rude and untrained to deal with simple customer complaints.food is as disappointing and not good at all . I got a $14 Caesar salad on their menu and I was very disappointed by the presentation, taste, and quality of the salad. The dressing was not Caesar dressing even though I was told it was similar. the bacon looked like it was low quality microwaveable bacon and just thrown on top. I was given huge pieces of whole Romain lettuce bigger than 12in long then told I’m supposed to eat it with my fingers after I expressing my disappointment. I was told they absolutely could not do anything to make the salad better or replace or refund it. The plate sat infront of me untouched for over an hour while my bf ate his mediocre pull pork sandwich. I got a replacement spinach salad only after an hour of waiting and begging them to give me something else as it was my birthday dinner and didn’t want to ruin the night. Other customers saw what was going on and approached me to tell me they were disappointed for how the situation was handled. I’ve worked in the restaurant business for over a decade if a restaurant isnt happily willing to replace even a salad and have policy’s about no refunds on food it probably means their food isn’t very good and it’s been sent back a lot. They don’t care about the customer experience or the product their serving if that’s their standard and just want your money. If you go, go for music and basic drinks not for the customer service and definitely not for their food
Fantastic place
All love there!!!!!
Love their brunch!
Food and music so so, the binets were good though
Great food and good music
Evangeline’s has a classic Central West End vibe, with charming patio seating, a modern New Orleans–style interior, great Cajun food, and live music. Our table enjoyed gumbo, shrimp and grits, and beans-and-rice dishes, along with excellent wine. We were there on a Thursday, when ambient noise was lower, so the music was a little loud for our table conversation, but we took dessert to go and thoroughly devoured that too. Great local restaurant!

Great atmosphere. Great live band. Menu options are fantastic. Staff is efficient, swift, polite & professional. Food is delicious!!!!
There was no air conditioning, there was a $5 surcharge added to the bill for the house band, and there were no accommodations for our group having to sit in a scorching restaurant.
The food was good but a bit over priced.
The food was delicious and the woman working was very friendly.
limited brunch menu on Sunday but very good. many of the dishes have a creole flair.Service was great . Miss Jubilee trio entertained. She was spectacular. Prices not bad but sales tax (?) and credit fee really adds up. No parking problems.
Good food and good service. Nice intimate setting.
