Menya Rui Reviews
I’m 78, travelled the world and these are the very best noodles and noodle dishes I have ever had. I doubt I will ever eat ramin or udon ever again. This is not a fancy sit down restaurant, it’s a Japanese noodle restaurant or social bar. The young lady receptionist/waitress was very welcoming and helpful. The cooks are hard working and friendly. I had a terrible experience at this ramen place and honestly, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. First, when we arrived, they told us to wait in the car even though it was 20°F outside. Menu
Menya Rui is a lively and authentic ramen restaurant known for its exceptional noodles and dishes. The friendly and helpful staff create an engaging dining experience, working hard to serve a high volume of customers in the cozy and intimate atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of delicious options, including a popular original broth-less dish and a chicken dish that's a favorite among customers.
Customers praise the restaurant's authenticity and excellent service, describing the noodles and dishes as the best they've ever had. The Tonkotsu soy sauce ramen has a slightly lower saltiness than Japanese ramen but is still rich, with chewy noodles. This level of ramen is rare to find in the Midwest.
Despite the high demand and long lines, customers are willing to wait patiently to enjoy the high-quality ramen. The small interior means groups may be split up, but the dining is dine-in only. There is limited parking in the small lot, but free parking is available on nearby side streets.
