While the cheesecake that we got was absolutely delicious, their customer service was really lacking. I ordered a cheesecake online for pickup and paid extra for a custom message because it was my son's birthday. When I got home and took a closer look at the cake I realized the custom message was wrote in a fruit sauce. My son has some sensory issues with food and would not be able to eat the cake with the fruit sauce on it. There was nowhere on the online order form that stated the flavors for custom messages on cakes or a dropdown selection box to chose a flavor so I didn't even think about having to specify when I placed the order. I called the location I picked it up from hoping they would be able to give me another cake with my custom message that I paid extra for since the online order form did not make things very clear or somehow use the cake they gave me and change the flavor on the message. I was told the owner would have to call me about the situation. When I received the call he seemed annoyed, was rude, made it seem like I was to blame, and asked the age of my son which had no relevance whatsoever. He finally offered to exchange the cake for a presliced cake with no message on it which didn't look nearly as nice and wasn't what I had paid for. He also stated that he had no idea what he was going to to with my custom cake so I am assuming it went to waste. Had this happened at most other establishments I have no doubt the error would have been fixed and I would have received what I paid for. A little kindness, grace and good customer service goes a long way.

The Cashier was delightful, whereas the gentleman who prepared the next large cheesecake order was semi courteous and had no gloves on when removing the mixed slices from one tray to my purchased tray.
They offered no Veterans or Senior Citizens Discounts.
After 30 years and returning to home state since my last visit, I may not visit again.
I am a Caterer and I am not enthusiastic with the care in which they handle food, especially since this is the season for covid and the flu.

Hank's is the best cheesecake in Saint Louis! I picked up a half banana pudding, half mocha chocolate chip cheesecake for my birthday. This is the 3rd year in a row I am celebrating my day with my favorite cake (in fact, Hank's Cheesecake is all I asked for my birthday this year)! I will be moving away soon, so I am glad I got one last opportunity to enjoy. I made a note on my order expressing my satisfaction with Hank's and they responded with a sweet hand written card with my order. This is a special extra step they didn't have to take, but the fact that they did shows exceptional customer service and it made me smile. Thank you, I will miss you Hank's! If I ever visit STL, I will make a point to stop by and enjoy a slice!

Iām sure the cheesecakes are wonderful, but I didnāt get a chance to find out because after placing an order to pick up a cheesecake for my friendās birthday- I drove all the way from Florissant to find out they we closed. As you can see from my receipt, the confirmation stated it would be ready by 8:08pm. I was disappointed but i understand things happen. This wouldāve been where one would expect a simple apology for the mixup and a refund or store credit. However- when I spoke to someone on the phone they immediately shut me down saying they donāt offer refunds. I politely reminded them that they had my money but I received no cake and that I was even open to store credit for a future cheesecake. She finally told me that she would have her manager reach out. We played phone tag a couple times so I decided to text them since he had called from his personal cell. I have yet to receive any reply back or refund on my money. This could have been an easily rectified situation- but Iām sad to say Hankās did not come through.
